Our original plan was to experience the best thermal baths in Switzerland, and so Leukerbad came up very naturally. But we did not expect at the time of choosing to receive such a hearty welcome from the hotel Waldhaus that apart of free passes to one of the two town baths included free passes to the nearby peaks Gemmi and Torrent plus delicious 6-course dinner. The latter option was at an extra cost and we were recommended to book it from the reviews. The cuisine was really exceptional, and the choice of Swiss wines was fantastic. Overall it was a 3-day stay in a paradise, and we better make it longer next time.

We spent 3 nights at this fabulous hotel. The highlight is without doubt the restaurant. The food was some of the best we have experienced and made even more special by the staff. They are obviously extremely well trained by the owners, perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, always attentive making sure your every need is satisfied. The location is good, easy walking distance from the baths and the village centre.
We had beautiful snow, which completely freshened the whole scene.
I'm not taken to writing too many reviews, but this one deserves it. Top weekend location.

We spent 4 days at the Hotel Waldhaus, and enjoyed our experience tremendously. Mid October was a nice time to be here, and the scenery and walks were very enjoyable. The baths - fantastic. However, the highlight was staying in this hotel. The rooms are functional, comfortable, and impeccable. Not luxury, but certainly do the trick. A nice addition would be a kettle to make tea or coffee, but besides that no suggestions. The towel and bathrobe for using at the baths is a nice touch. We also very much appreciate the free passes to the Alpentherme as well as cable car passes - these help offset the cost of an expensive vacation (though somewhat regular priced by Swiss standards).

What really made the experience was the great attention by the hostess, Evelyne, as well as others (Andres). Also, the food and wine was spectacular. Be sure to have dinner here, more than once if you can!
