There's currently one of the main outdood basin, being rebuilt, means entrance is a bit cheaper...but it also means pools are even more crowded as usual. This will hopefully not be the case...on a longer period.

I am a big fan of thermal baths and have been to nearly a dozen in Switzerland. The setup here is great, nice water jet features and good changing rooms. My only negative is that this place gets very crowded, and its popular with kids so if you are expecting a relaxing peaceful spa day I suggest the more expensive for more adult Alpentherme in town.

The Burgerbad has a nice variety of water features including bubble chairs, back bubblers, traditional massage jet progressions, several strong massage showers and a really nice and unique steam bath grotto with 40° C water. It also has a nice hot and cold foot bath, which is great for circulation.

But again, I had to wait for almost every one of these - the pools were all quite crowded with few open attractions. If you are a fan of thermal baths its well worth a visit, but I would not come to town only for the baths. And certainly if you go, I suggest not going on a weekend or holiday, and coming as early as possible in the day.

We had a great time there with our 2 sons aged 11 and 16.
We were there one evening in March, in the warm water with the fairy lights, and with the snow falling on our faces, an unforgettable experience.
We came back the following 2 days, and we loved it too even if it was during the day! The view is great, and there are 2 quite nice slides.
different pools, inside, outside, with different temperatures, jacuzzis, sauna, hammam, etc.
It looked clean but the changing rooms and the showers could do with a bit more cleaning at certain times of the day.

Spent 2 hours with my teenage children. With smiles plastered on their delightful faces, it was evident that they really enjoyed the place, especially the X-tube water slides after several attempts. An eye-opening and special experience to immerse oneself in warm water, with the Alps overlooking the outdoor pools with spa facilities. The water seemed clean, but there was no sulphur smell, so we were a bit doubtful whether it was genuinely natural thermal water, like what they claimed. Burgerbad was user-friendly with the vast number of shower and changing rooms (no queues at all!) and free lockers which were quite big, so don't worry about your bulky winter wear.
