Family of 7. week long break in a Chatsworth elite. Immaculate and spotless. Everything was in order and plenty of room for 7 people.

Loads of space between lodges so you didnt feel cramped. Staff attentive, polite and friendly. Gym and pool were equally spotless, always clean. The gym is very well equipped. Easy to get into Matlock/Bakewell etc. Everyone had a great time.

The site was beautiful and peaceful. All amenities were clean and well looked after. The lodges were perfect for our family get to gather and with the variety of age range we had we were a bit worried about about accommodating everyones interests. However we booked activities on the park and the range was perfect from Archery to Sorbing. The teenagers enjoyed walking down to reception to get good wifi access and the adults enjoyed the peace. The equipment in the lodges were really good and beautifully clean. There was a supply of washing up liquid kitchen cleaner and dishwasher tabs to keep us all going throughout the stay. Thanks!

This place is exceptional. This is my third visit in 5 years and each time it delights not just me but also my family and especially my 6 year old daughter. The plus points are endless...almost but here are a few highlights to tempt you...
1) Great staff from friendly reception staff who greet you with a smile through to swimming pool area staff and restaurant. The people make this the special place it is.
2) Lots to do - or do as little as you want - either way it's all great fun. Lots of outdoor fun and indoor fun elements
3) Great soft play area - though closing it at 6.30pm seems a little early
4) Lodges are exceptional in comfort and value
5) They even gave us a free pint of milk on arrival - nice touch
6) Great walks in the forest and grounds
7) Very good spa area for adults - though children did come in while i was there - which should be monitered better
8) WIFI - small point but it works just fine - and that is a great feat in such a remote area - great to keep the kids busy on You Tube

A few suggestions to improve but nothing to moan loudly about
1) Check out should be 11 not 10 - give people that extra hour in the morning means they may stay and spend some more time and money on lunch etc - a sound business decision surely?
2) Crazy Golf - great fun but slightly over priced - maybe £1.50 for adults and £1 kids would be better or a family ticket of £5 for 2 adults and 2 kids could be a decent offer.
3) Bins near lodges - are great but why not consider having recycle bins near them too. Just the fact that people have to walk to a specific area to recycle rubbish means people won't do it
4) Fridge should be turned on prior to arrival - it wasn't in our lodge meaning we had to wait quite some time before we could use it
5) Ideally have a bigger fridge freezer in accommodation - though size could restrict this. The freezer compartment was way to small

BUT - let me reiterate... this place is amazing and well worth the visit. We're even thinking of making it an annual stay now. Thank you to everyone at the park that makes the experience so wonderful.

We came a year ago attracted by the situation of Darwen Forest and the fact that they had a Lodge with disabled facilities. We had a most enjoyable time so came again this year for a week. The facilities are first class. The lodge was excellently equipped with a wet room and was spacious for wheelchair usage. The Lodge and the Park generally are spotlessly clean, all staff are helpful and friendly. The Park facilities, restaurant, pool, spa are of really good quality. The Park is really peaceful, surrounded by lovely woodland walks and is really accessible for the main Sites of the Peak District. It was again a really good experience.
