Visited Hoe Grange with three girlfriends and our horses for a week's riding holiday. Felicity and David were excellent hosts for both us and our horses, being welcoming and very helpful. My horse has COPD and had been suffering during the winter. They did all they could to make his stay as comfortable as possible, letting him use the outside stable and providing shavings for his bed. They advised on rides, giving us printed marked up OS map sheets to save us having to carry a full map, and gave us long and short options - of which we did the long!!
The accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable - not what I quite expected from a log cabin - and the welcome pack with biscuits, bread and milk a lovely touch. All toiletries and cleaning materials were provided and I particularly liked the eco friendly aspect of Hoe Grange, with products used not being tested on animals.
We will definitely be back!

Wow thanks for the great review - we sometimes forget how lucky we are when it comes to the many riding routes and bridleways we have direct from the farm. You were certainly a very adventurous group and covered many miles during the week, but there is still more to explore - we look forward to welcoming you back!

The homemade bread, oat cookies, milk and butter, as well as tea, coffee and sugar were really appreciated on our arrival. The chance to hire the Bome 7 (all terrain wheelchair) was fantastic, allowing us to go for a much longer walk than we could have if using the electric wheelchair. Being able to see chickens, horses, cows and sheep from the window was fantastic. The leaflets in the cabin were very useful in planning trips out, especially when it was raining. The adjustable bed, riser recliner chair and the wetroom were exactly what we hoped for when looking at suitable accommodation. The availabilty of a portable loop system as well as a vibrating alarm were fantastic additions. Thank you for a great week.

A heartfelt review - it's wonderful to hear that our off-road wheelchair enabled you all to explore our special Peak District landscape together - that is exactly why we bought it, we love it and so glad that you enjoyed using it too! Come back and explore further.

Thank you both for making our short break in Rainster cabin so memorable. Worries about oxygen deliveries were calmly dealt with. My disabled husband and very ill brother so appreciated the wet room and reclining bed and chairs. What a cosy hideaway. I loved being able to access the High Peak Trail with dog so easily and watch the lambs. We all enjoyed sitting out on the patio in sun looking at the lovely views. Everything was of the highest standard, especially the full English breakfast delivered to our door! Thank you. Laura Cryer, Sheffield.

Extremely comfortable, everything we needed and more. Wonderful in April watching the newly born lambs from the veranda and even the bed! Plenty of walks not too far away suitable for wheelchairs and right in the heart of the countryside,

Thank you for your excellent review. So glad you both enjoyed your relaxing escape to the country - it's great fun to see the little lambs gamboling around the paddock. The Swallows have also arrived and Spring is definitely here! You'll have to come back at a different time of year next time.

Excellent accommodation - very comfortable and well equipped, in a beautiful location which was easy to find. It was also excellent for my partner in his wheelchair. The riser bed was a great help for getting him up in the morning, and the spacious bathroom with adjustable basin a boon for him to wash and me to give him a shower.
It is also ideally placed for exploring the many interesting places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay here and greatly appreciated the freshly baked bread, and fresh eggs direct from the farmyard hens (thank you, girls!). We were also very impressed with the solar and wind power provided and the eco-friendly policies.
A big thank you to Felicity and David for making our stay so welcoming, enjoyable and easy to manage. We hope to come back again sometime.

I agree with all the other reviews Hoe Grange is excellent!
Spent the Easter bank holiday weekend staying in the Hipley cabin, a real home from home. Felicity and David have thought of everything and more to make your stay as restful and easy as possible. The cabin was warm and comfortable with plenty of hot water. The views over the fields were lovely on both sunny and foggy days. We were lucky to be there for lambing so got to see many new borns. If you are travelling with someone with addtitional needs this cabin is well worth a look they have thought of everything. My dad is partially sighted so level flooring throughout was a big help to him as well as the contrast colours of the doorways. We hope to return soon.
