If you're looking to get away from it all and relax in beautiful surroundings then look no further. The Manor House is a stunning period property within a pretty rural village. It has been lovingly restored and furnished by the lovely Sarah, who is something of an authority on such matters since she owns a vintage furnishings shop in Baslow, which is about a 20 minute drive from Brassington. On arrival, you are warmly greeted and offered tea and cake in the lounge. It's so warm and cosy in there that it requires a monumental effort to drag yourself away to explore your room. However, I can assure you that it's worth the effort. We stayed in the larger of the two rooms and thought it was even better than the photographs on the website had suggested. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and the bathroom is vast with a roll top bath taking pride of place in the centre of the room. There are wonderful pieces of antique furniture everywhere you look. This is also true of the dining room, which is simply beautiful. Sarah has a great eye for detail and this is evident in all of the delightful little touches that make this such a special place. Breakfasts are hearty and tasty and if you don't want to stray too far in the evening, the pub next door offers good, reasonably priced food and a very pleasant atmosphere. The only bad thing about the Manor House is that, sooner or later, you have to leave. Never mind, there's always next time to look forward to!

Room Tip: We would wholeheartedly recommend the larger of the two rooms as it's very generously proportioned, pretty as a picture and extremely comfortable.

Wow what a find . My partner and I stayed at this exquisite Bed And Breakfast recently. The owner Sarah is lovely she was so so welcoming and made our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing. The Manor House is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are very attractive, the bed is to die for its so comfortable. We were given homemade lemon cake on our arrival and had a cooked breakfast every morning , the cake and breakfast were equally delicious.
The Manor House is situated on the edge of the Peak District and there are plenty of rewarding walks nearby with great views.
I would whole heartedly recommend this B and B as you will have a fabulous stay.

We loved our relaxing 2 night stay at the Manor House in Brassington while visiting Chatsworth House in the Peak District national park. Brassington is a peaceful and unspoiled village and the manor house is beautifully decorated and quiet retreat close to the village pub where you can have dinner by a roaring fire and sit reading in the cozy sitting room. Sarah greeted us with cups of tea and a slices of delicious home made cake and made a full English breakfast each morning. We felt we were staying with an old friend rather than in a B and B.
