Owner is charming with his perfect French English accent, details are impeccable and coffee is not bad.

Nice lounge with tv, piano ... Books lots of books!. The rooms are well decorated and complete of "mountain" details, in season the food is basic and good and if you are lucky enough to have a sunny day .. Lunch on the terrace with the amazing view of the glacier .. It will be a moment to remember

I can only recommend this most charming hotel where you immediately are greeted and feel at home. The rooms and living space are all cosy and well decorated and invite you to lounge and enjoy life.
We only did breakfast there but that in itself is already quite the experience, special note of the prize winning gruyere selection on display.
Go there with your eyes closed you will find only charming hosts and a good atmosphere

We had a short stay of 3 nights at Hotel du Pillon to do a ski touring course and its was perfect. The Hotel is superbly renovated and decorated - the atmosphere is relaxed but extremely attractive and I would love to live in such a place. The rooms are very comfortable and the reception and lounge areas are extremely pleasant to sit and relax, chat or simply watch the world go by. The service is very good with a relaxed yet a very willing approach! The evening meals were plentiful, very tasty and frankly giving a real home from home feeling. If you want individuality, this is a very pleasant and warming option both for the winter and summer season. I will definitely go back there - its on my own list of favourite hotels!

My husband and I spent the most wonderful honeymoon with the attentions of M. Francis in his beautiful, cosy and tasteful hotel. Food was amazing, the hotel had the most beautiful views and M. Francis made it all perfect for us, he even helped us driving to and from town since we didn´t have a car. We felt completely relaxed and very well taken care of in the most warm and beautifull setting. Unforgettable. Thank you very much!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a view to the glacier!!!

1st the location it is off the main road and surrounded by nature. then you walk into a place that does not follow any standard of traditional hotels and it is exactly why you will like it. (avoid the hotel if you like conformism) Don't search for a big reception desk, there is none but look for the owner , turn right enter a charming living room with magazines, and you will find him. Don't look for the traditional decoration that suits everyone but enjoy the quality of the paintings. Find out that the owner is an art collector and that you can even buy one of them. food, again non conventional, a staff member loves picking wild mushrooms find out that the chef likes cooking them and you will have a unique dish made with fresh products ... The place is small, enjoy the difference, unique let's make sure they can survive in this world.

A lovely inn ouside of town, and therefore somewhat isolated and pretty much requiring a car. Our room was a reasonable size, well furnished and very clean, although Mrs. was not thrilled with the "open concept" shower. It should be noted that there are many stairs and no lift. Remember to duck going down!

Breakfast, while adequate, was not up to the standard we experienced in the other hotels and inns we stayed at on this trip, which were all outstanding.

With those caveats, we would indeed recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Many stairs to rooms on top floor. Rooms facing front have lovely balconies with a tremendous view...
