“Mouldy smell spoiled a good nights sleep”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We had a flight from Bristol at 6am so decided to stay here overnight. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is generally clean. However, our room smelled very strongly of mould. When we arrived the windows in the room were open and the smell, although noticeable, was not strong. We closed the windows as we were on the ground flour and it was a chilly evening. We went to dinner and when we came back the smell was much stronger. We had to be up at 4:30 and on our way to the airport so we decided that we would just try to get some sleep. I kept waking up coughing so didn't have a restful night. I would use this hotel again but would avoid room 28 and provably the rooms next to it.

Room Tip: Avoid room 28

Stayed here for one night. Set in a hill with beautiful view, low signal but expected where its set. Looks gorgeous on the outside, the pub is excellent, great service, great food. My two problems was one we asked for a twin room....we may as well have had a double as the beds are still right next to each with the slightest gap and im someone who doesnt like people in my personal space....thats why we wanted a twin. We also had the extractor fan or something outside our window but to be honest it has to go somewhere so cant really complain, got use to the noise. Overall I would stay here again as it is a lovely setting and the staff are really nice.

we decided one year to stay in a nearby hotel to travel early hours closer to Bristol airport. saw good reviews online and was good price for two rooms for the 4 of us travelling to NICE on a 7am flight the next day.

Brilliant food in the restaurant, just liked home cooked food with good atmosphere.

comfortable room but the only negative is outside a set of rooms there is heavy fire door that doesn't have a stop latch which means every time it is opened it bangs heavy when closing making a lot of noise which was outside our room which did wake us up a couple of times in the night when people got back late. there was also a loud fan outside the window which didn't stop which was annoying in the background.

personally for ourselves it didn't really add much to the travel arrangement's so we travel from home now to the airport in the night due to the fact we still have to check in early so didn't really use the room to its full worth of money.

but the hotel is very good, good rooms, clean and tidy with good staff and best food.

Room Tip: not near a fire door or near the fan above food place.

Stayed here as a change from the drive in the early hours for Bristol airport. Very clean room plenty of tea, coffee etc. Great food and relaxing drink before heading to bed for a few hours sleep before the short drive to the airport the next morning. The only issue was a little bit of noise from people who had obviously stayed at the bar for a few more drinks.

Room Tip: There was a bit of A/C noise so choose a room either higher up if you can

Great service and helpful and friendly staff. This is certainly my favorite hotel when visiting the area. Fabulous and quiet room, great breakfast and terrace with beautiful view. Great location especially when visiting Sidcot school.

Very friendly staff, room clean with everything you need. Bed a little on the firm side but then that's just personal preference. Cooked breakfast was excellent, quickly served and very tasty. Beautiful location in the countryside with a great view from the veranda. Only downside was that our room didn't have air-con and had restrictors on the widow so could only open it a couple of inches. They did provide a small fan but it didn't make much difference to the overnight room temp of 24oC.

We enjoyed our stay at this Premier Inn Hotel. It was very clean and tidy and the staff were very welcoming. The location was ideal as just a short walk from the village. We would stay again and reccommend this to family and friends.
