Stopped off for a quick lunchtime snack. We have previously dined here in the past, good food, good menu and priced well. Surprised to find new owners, but very welcoming. Had a bar meal on Sunday, sat outside during the first warm day of the year, the food arrived promtly, well prepared & presented. The next time we will aim for full lunch time menu. I have only given an average score because of only having a brief stop & bar meal; I'm sure the main courses will be as good so a higher score next time. Keep it up guys, good so far.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch on a recent visit back to Norfolk. We used this pub regularly when we use to live in the county.
The place is now very tired, service was very poor and the lunch was akin to a greasy spoon cafe. We won't be returning

Yes the pub has changed hands. It is certainly tidier than when we got here 7 months ago. The gardens were so overgrown that people believed the place had been shut. Whilst we are no longer aiming at being a gourmet restaurant we are certainly not a greasy spoon. You did not make any complaints about your meal at the time. We are sorry that you feel disappointed but we have more positive comments than negative about the changes we have made.

We had visited this pub when we had first moved to Norfolk and the previous land lady and staff were terrible, hence we didn't come back. When e received a leaflet from my son's school saying that the pub was now under new management I wasn't too sure if we should return.
We returned to the pub to be greeted by the land lady who was very welcoming. We sat in the bar area and decided to have a Full English breakfast which was very tasty pub grub at an affordable price. This is a family run pub where we felt most welcome while we had our meal and drinks.
We decided to come back on the Sunday with our family visiting over the easter for sunday roast. There was a good selection of meat, with Beef, Pork and Lamb on a menu. There was plenty of meat with home made roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. The menu had a good selection of starters and deserts and priced at £10 for the two courses that we all enjoyed.
The garden is large and has some things for the kids to play while we enjoyed our drinks and watched on, this will be a real plus in the summer.
This will now be our local, although we do have another pub closer to where we live although not as welcoming and quite expensive and does not really offer pub food when you want something simple, good locally sourced and good value for money.
We would like to wish the land lady and her family all the very best in turning this pub around.
