We drove from Napoli, Nino's B&B wasn't easy to find. But it was well worth the journey. Nino is a very warm and kind person. His little B&B is perfect. The views of the amalfi coast from your balcony are incredible. We fell in love with Nino and this tiny town Nocelle. This is the perfect location for hiking, and taking the 1700 steps to Positano. Next time we'll skip on renting a car, and stay much longer.

Nino was a perfect host and the room top-rate, the views spectacular. HIGHLY recommend staying here. We were perfectly happy to be away from the crowds in Positano and see it all from up high. Buses are available to get down there (though buses are a bit nuts in the Amalfi coast, just brace yourself!), and you do have to plan a bit for that, but no worries. Also you've got some lugging up and down steps to get to Nino's place, but there are steps everywhere in this area so that's just a hazard of traveling in the region. Beautiful and peaceful. Loved it.

Ninos is the perfect location for a spot of walking above the Amalfi coast. It is almost on the Path of the Gods and there are splendid walks in either direction. Each of the three rooms has a balcony or terrace with the fabulous view. Breakfast is plentiful, delicious and hosted by Niño in his homely kitchen. The man himself is both charming and fascinating having been born and brought up in Nocelle and then worked elsewhere in Europe for several years. There are steps everywhere in Nocelle (including a run of about 2000 all the way down - and up- to Positano)...so visiting is not for those with either a dodgy ticker or knees!

A beautiful place to stay up a mountain, there is a short walk from the car park to the residence however Nino assisted with our luggage, which was very kind. Our room was called Romantica, and had a delightful balcony overlooking Positano and the countryside below. My husband really wanted to do the walk of the gods whilst here and this was the best location for accessing the route. There are local shops and restaurants in Nocelle, and you can find them easily by following Nino's guide in your room. However if you want there is a town 30 min walk away which has another selection of restaurants, i would advise getting the bus if you are not a keen walker as this is "up and down a full hills" as my husband would say (i would say mountains), but definitely worth it. Nino was delightful and really made you feel welcomed and provided us with yummy breakfasts containing scrumptious dippy eggs with toast, fresh bread, yoghurt, cereal, juices and including fruit freshly picked from his and his neighbours gardens. He also makes his own jam from the fruit, you must try them all otherwise up you are missing out. I would definitely come back again and just read my book quietly on the balcony for days. Nino makes you feel like you have gone home to visit family, ask him some questions and hear his great story telling abilities. Loved this place, loved Nino!

Niño is the perfect host. Kind and accomodating. Spotlessly clean and a super breakfast. We had a very nice time here. Much recommended. Niño even provides you with his homemade limoncello. Showers were powerful. The views of the coastline are truly spectacular.

We found Nino's B&B through Trip Advisor and whilst he is booked out ahead a lot of the time, we were so happy to spend 4 nights there. What a memorable experience he creates for his guests!

We were given excellent directions by his English counterpart via email, and Nino met us off the bus, with smiling, boundless enthusiasm, despite it being 9.30pm. He would not let us touch our cases and led us through his tiny village to his house.

The rooms (there are three) are very spacious, with nice clean bathroom, hair dryer if required, fridge and good air conditioning, and a private balcony/ terrace with views to die for. It is so quiet here with only the braying of nearby donkeys, or the clangs of goat bells, or the chimes of the nearby church. Maybe bring some mosquito repellant as they do buzz around, though Nino does provide citronella candles.

The beds were firm, but comfortable and we had solid, undisturbed sleep. The wifi is very high speed (and free).

The location at first seemed a hindrance, as it is 20 mins by local bus (once an hour) up the hill from positano, but it turned out to be a big advantage getting away from the hustle bustle, and added to how relaxed we felt in the little village of Nocelle.

Positano itself is a dream - Nino has excellent knowledge of his locale, having grown up there, and seems to know everyone! He would ring ahead and book us sunbeds on the beach, tables at restaurants, and they would welcome us as old friends with special treatment (and sometimes discounts) because we were "with Nino"!

The breakfast was plentiful, and much of it from his own garden or that of his neighbours (fresh fruit, goat cheese from his sister's goat, and he makes his own delicious jams!). We came home one evening from dinner feeling like a drink and he procured limoncello he had made for our nightcap!

We must mention that the two nearby restaurants - San Croce, and Il Ristore (the pizzeria) were marvellous. Lovely food, adequately priced, and amazing views. And aptly named Walk of the Gods is right on Nino's doorstep.

But the real thing that made the stay so wonderful and memorable was Nino himself. He is a warm, caring man, full of good humour, who loves his village and home, and enjoys showing guests the beauty of Positano. He shares tales of his childhood and life with you over breakfast, and is always trying to find ways to make your stay that much more pleasurable. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this delightful B&B to anyone, if you want a rustic but beautiful and comfortable experience in the jewel of the Amalfi Coast.

Nino is the perfect host with an even better view from this gem of a B&B. Not staying in Positano itself was a great decision and staying here was incredible, you get away from the tourist trap Positano can be but have all the access you need with a very unique bus journey down from Nocelle. Nino makes sure you are well looked after, his boiled eggs are cooked to perfection, so make sure you have one...or two, and he is always around if you need anything. The rooms a big, bright and quite simply have some of the best views in the world.
