“Beautiful, clean and warm hospitality!”
Reviewed 30 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This place was beautiful! Very clean and warm. The owners were there to greet us. They had beverages in the refrigerator, a fruit basket and little gifts waiting for us. The view is AMAZING! I would have liked to stay longer.

“Wonderful Villa in Montepertuso”
Reviewed 25 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed 3 nights here in the beginning of July. We were 5 people, myself, my husband my 2 boys ages 13 & 10 and my mother in law. We were greeted in the square of the small town and taken over to the house by Roberto. We parked our car nearby. It was about a 5-6 min walk in which he helped us carry all of out luggages up the stairs to the villa. The place itself was great. Very clean and welcoming. There is a common living area, 2 bedrooms, kitchen area, bathroom with a washing machine, another smaller washroom and a huge deck with the most amazing views of the Ocean. I loved the fact that there was a washing machine. We were travelling from Rome and Naples and washed some of our clothes and hung them up outside. They dried in about 1 hour. My kids were happy that there was free Wifi. The huge deck was amazing to have breakfast and coffee in the morning as the view was honestly the best. Emily and her family are just wonderful. Very welcoming, helpful with information in Positano and the Amalfi Coast. Told us the cheapest way to travel into Positano with boat rides into Capri. They gave us food from their garden and delicious homemade strawberry jam. They are so proud of the Villa and it truly shows. They also made us try their home made Limoncello and it was so yummy! They took my son up to their see the vegetable garden and to see their chickens that provided fresh eggs. They spoke great english (but to us this did not matter, as we speak Italian) I was quite happy that we stayed here, as when we visited Positano and the Amalfi Coast I don't think that I could have managed to walk up and down those stairs to the hotels day in and day out. Too much hustle and bustle and quite the walk. We were very happy staying higher up in the Mountains. The town is great, very small and very friendly. There are a few places to eat and a grocery store which made it easy for us especially with Breakfast, before heading out to the different towns/tours.
My only down fall was there was no air conditioning (but in a lot of places in Italy this is lacking all around). But in the early morning and evenings was quite fresh when the shutters were open. Such a great mountain breeze. There was one fan, which sometimes for me (who is hot all the time) was a bit uncomfortable. My other family members were fine. Other than that I would definately recommend this place to my family and friends. When we were leaving they also came back and helped us carry all of our luggages back to the car. Emily and her family were so helpful, so generous and so very Kind, I would definitely stay here again. We had a blast here, thank you so much for making our stay that much more welcoming.

“Stunning Views in lovely Montepertuso”

We stayed 4 nights at Emilia's place in the hills overlooking Positano Bay. The views are wonderful and the area scenic.
Emilia was very warm and welcoming and even made a cake to celebrate our friends honeymoon.
The Villa is part of the family property and is built into the cliff face high above Positano. The views from the roof area are amazing.
It was a bit of a struggle getting there, as the steps and path up from Positano are incredibly steep and arduous in 29 degree heat. I suggest a porter and taxi if you are not fit.
Emilia organises taxi pick up for guests. She also shares salad from the garden for cooking.
I would recommend this property.

“Fabulous small village experience”

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Emilia was a terrific hostess. She and Carmine lugged our heavy bags from the car to the house, which is up and down a number of steps and about 200 meters from the village center. She cooked us a fabulous meal the first night there!

The rental is the upper floor of the house and Emilia and her family live on the lower floor. The space is huge with 2 big bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with 2 single beds). One full bathroom and a half bath, a small galley kitchen and nice dining room complete the space. There are private balconies outside the bedrooms and off the living room with beautiful views of the Mediterranean, the village of Montepertuso and surrounding mountains. It's a spectacular setting if you're looking for a real Italian rural village experience with just a 10 minute bus ride down the mountain to Positano. We hiked every day - there are 3-4 great day hikes very nearby, including the spectacular Path of the Gods, which begins just up the road.

“Wonderful stay in small Italian village”

We stayed here in September 2013. It was a bit tricky getting here since we took public transportation but it was worth the trip. The Villa is high in the hills with amazing views. Roberto who was managing the place was very hospitable and welcoming. We were supplied with plenty of fresh fruit, vegetable and eggs from their garden which we had fro breakfast. Thanks Roberto!!! We were a group of 5 adults and the villa had plenty of room and comfortable furnishings. The rooftop deck provides a great place to hangout. The village has a very good restaurant which is walking distance from the villa. After all the big cities in Italy this stay in this small village gave us a taste of real Italy.

“Fabulous experience with great views and hospitality”

This villa is perfect if you are looking to be close enough to the action of Positano but you are wanting to stay somewhere a bit quieter and experience a small Italian village. Monteputuso has a square, a small supermarket and a great restaurant all about 5-10 minutes walk from the villa. Yes there are a number of steps to get to the villa but this was not an issue as our wonderful hosts helped us with our bags. The villa has beautiful views of the sea and the mountains and it was so relaxing to stay there for 5 nights. We walked down the steps to Positana (1 hour with lots of photo ops along the way) and got the bus back. We did the Walk of the Gods which is amazing. Our hosts were great, we got lots of fresh veges, fruit, eggs and did a tour of their vegetable garden (followed by home made limoncello and a strawberry liqueur in their home). We cooked meals which was nice also. Overall a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
