“Back to nature”
Review of Duckpool

Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Tricky to get to the beach over very jagged rocks but well worth the struggle, it is so beautiful. Lovely sunsets and lots of rockpools! Very secluded.

Interesting beach and area, lovely lake, very rocky beach that appeared to be good for surfing - lots of youngsters about. Take water with you there is no where nearby to get a drink if you need one.

This attractive cove is a mainly pebble beach making it quite challenging to walk across, especially with young children. That said if you take your time it’s well worth it as the setting is simply stunning. The coast line here is quite dramatic with rocky outcrops and high cliffs. There are rock pools to explore and an abundance of pebbles to sift through to find ‘the best one’.
We took our dog on the beach, she’s large so managed well over the rocks and pebbles, but I imagine a small dog might find it a little tricky.
The location is quite secluded therefore with limited facilities although there is a toilet block. Well worth a visit if you want a quieter more scenic beach.

Duckpool is a National Trust site on the Cornish coast. It is ideal for walkers with a steep climb to the cliff path. It has toilet facilities. Visitors can eat their lunch perched on rocks watching the sea crash over the rocks. It is open to the Atlantic Ocean's prevailing winds.
I quite venue to be enjoyed.

Wow what a find. Was a little foggy on arrival as the sea mist had yet to clear and was wrapped around the bay soon cleared had a very pleasant walk with Sophie, the crazy cocker spaniel!!!
