Description: Built in 1590, the Queen’s Head is a charming and stylish country pub in the picturesque village of Boughton-under-Blean with a warm atmosphere and excellent food and ale. Visitors can relax in the lounge by an open fire in the winter, enjoy a meal in the comfortable restaurant or soak up the sun on the veranda looking out over the pleasant garden during the summer. The Queen’s Head serves a delicious selection of freshly-prepared bar snacks and homemade dishes, with a blackboard of daily specials all of which you will find great value, as well as serving traditional cask ales, distinctive international lagers and a wide choice of good wines from independent producers around the world. We pride ourselves on being a “pub restaurant” in the best sense of both words, a real pub with a comprehensive range of wines and cask ales, but with the space, atmosphere and quality of food that makes us an ideal location for any occasion. Whether it is a family get together, a special celebration, a great value meal out when you don’t feel like cooking or even just a drink with friends, you will find a warm welcome at the Queen’s Head.Dogs – goats – chickens - alpacas, oh, and of course children are welcome! As we are a child and dog friendly pub we will be pleased to welcome all the family (even granny). To make your family time with us more enjoyable, we are pleased to provide for your use baby changing facilities, highchairs, water bowls and dog biscuits.

“Good food, friendly staff”

Ate here last night and was not disappointed... wanted to try the jambalaya but thought it might be to spicy. No worries as the chef toned it down for me and came to the table later to check all was ok. It's these touches that makes this dining experience that little bit special. A winning combination, with a good choice of ales to boot. Keep doing what you obviously do best.

“You won't be disappointed...”
Reviewed 7 June 2014 via mobile

Had a meal here last night with a friend and I have to say it was terrific. We both had starters and main which filled us so we missed out on dessert. This was mentioned to the chef when he visited our table, although we told him it gave us a very good excuse to return. A wonderful dining experience.

Simply the most delicious food. An exciting, varied menue of the highest standard. I have never gone away disappointed. Each meal is of an excellent standard, far superior to anything being presented in the local area.

“Good Food - Not overpriced”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

This is much better than the average pub grub and the chef also pays an interest in peoples thoughts and opinions. Meal for five was very enjoyable and to be fair we were fairly full after the starters !! Specials board seems to be up dated regually and most of these meals on there seem to be well thought out and make choosing difficult. All in All very good !!

“Great choice, great quality”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

We popped in for lunch on Saturday and were not disappointed. The menu choice had something for everyone. We had a selection of starters, baked Camenbert, Nachos with Pulled Pork (wow), Calamari and Black Pudding fritters, but there were at least 3 other menu items that we would have liked to try. The main courses were equally as well received - it took us ages just to make a selection. Will definately be back. Quality and quantity were excellent. Its a pub but with restaurant quality food and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly. The chef came out just to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. Could not fault it.
