“Amazing”
Reviewed 9 July 2018 for a stay in June 2018

We were searching for a place central for our needs when we began our holiday search in 2017, and came across this little gem on Trip Advisor.

Michael, the owner, helped so much with booking the house and everything associated with it, he stayed in touch every step of the way.

We arrived on the Saturday and were blown away with house, and amenities. Michael came and introduced himself and explained that he lived near by in a static caravan, and if we needed him just to call.

He was very helpful, and showed us all how everything worked (the air con, fire, log burner etc etc), he also had many suggestions of places to go and things to do. He also explained that each Saturday the bedding and towels would be changed(a nice touch).

The next 2 weeks flew by and soon the holiday was over, we were sad to be leaving as the weather had began to improve and there were still loads of things that we hadn't done.

I would highly recommend Hatches Hill, it has just about everything you need for a great holiday down in Cornwall, with easy access to all the main roads and local amenities.

Get your holiday booked NOW! i can't believe this place is booked out 365 days a year.

The house is spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. It is quiet and peaceful despite being only a few minutes from the A30 and the West Cornwall Shopping Centre. It's also not far from the fantastic golden sandy beach at Gwithian Towans. We had a wonderful time and would love to go back.

“A beautiful, peaceful base to explore the local area from.”
Reviewed 12 June 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Mike the owner was very quick to respond to our booking enquiry and dealt with all question well. Communication from start to finish was excellent.
The cottage is up a very steep hill but this is manageable for most and the result is lovely views across the village. About a 7-10 minute walk away is a small retail park with a M&S, Boots, Next and Costa. Just walk over the bridge and round the corner and you are by a Lidl and then into Hayle.
The cottage is really well equipped with everything you will need for a home from home stay. The furnishings are of good quality and there is air con if needed. Above all the cottage is very clean and comfortable and the gardens maintained beautifully too. We went with teenagers and they all actually enjoyed the peace too. I would highly recommend and we would not hesitate to book again in the future. Thank you Mike.

“Fantastic stay with friends at a perfect little cottage!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We booked this cottage on the strength of some other reviews on the Tripadvisor website, and we weren't disappointed! We were in town for a family event with some friends and their children, whose family live in various parts of Cornwall, and so the cottage became the gathering point for most of the trip.

The cottage itself was even better than expected - very clean, well finished, and homely, and had literally everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, even down to items such as scales, blenders etc. and the dishwasher made light work of our evening dinner things!

The garden has been fantastically maintained, and was perfect for evening BBQs and Mike, the owner, lives just at the back of the garden, and was always on hand for any assistance we needed, even after we left, he contacted us to let us know we had forgotten some items and kindly forwarded them on - lovely man! :)

The village is beautiful, and very close to Hayle, and lots of local amenities. Perfect base for travelling to any of the West Cornwall beaches/attractions and amazing value for money...highly recommended!

“Second Visit”
Reviewed 1 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Cornwall, staying for the second year running at Hatch Hill and once again it didn't disappoint. Angarrack is a lovely village minutes from Hayle and all its facilities. Hatchs Hill is like a home from home with everything you could possibly need for your holiday. Mike (landlord) was a pleasure to meet and was available should any problems have arisen (which they didn't)
On his recommendation we visited The Watermill in Lelant for a meal and it was lovely. The beach at Lelant (Porth Kidney) is easily accessible and suitable for dogs. The large beaches at Hayle - The Towans - were stunning, just one word of warning if you're taking a dog, only the middle section of the beach is dog friendly and the dog wardens will fine you if they find you on any other part but having said that the beaches are huge.
Can highly recommend Hatchs Hill and will be hoping to stay there again next year.
