“Take away fish and chips big, big disappointment.”
Review of Seaview Cafe - CLOSED

Seaview Cafe
Description: The Bay offers a contemporary twist on your usual beachside Cafe, no fish and chips here, but a wide variety of meals from breakfast bagels, a great welsh fry up to paninis and pasties. Vegans and vegetarians welcome - the scrummiest salads in town! We also serve coffees, teas, snacks and still have Joes Ice Cream as a great treat to make leaving Broad Haven Bay that little bit sweeter.

Broadhaven is a beautiful place and last time we here we remembered having beautiful fish and chips. So we saved them for our last night in our self-catering accommodation with our French visitors. I can hardly find words to describe how bad mine were. The fish was dry inside the batter and the chips were soggy. To be fair, the other three fish were good but all the chips except a few went in the bin. The paper bag declared "The Great British Takeaway". It was as far as you can get from that. I was truly embarrassed. Don't be fooled as I was by the large number of people queueing up.

Great fresh fish and chips which were cooked while we waited. Fish was average sized and beautifully cooked with crispy batter.
They are very generous with the chips, a large portion was huge! We chose to take away to eat on the beach (which is amazing by the way) but they do have indoor and outdoor seating if preferred

Just what you want from a seaside chippy - really fresh fish in a crisp batter and get chips. Well worth waiting for it to be freshly cooked. Delicious and value!

A large smiling fish sign proclaims the presence of a traditional "chippy", with an innovative style, just back from the seafront at Broad Haven. The eat-in café opens off the main takeaway with a menu of surprising variety and really good quality. If you don't want chips then a lovingly produced salad and a generous portion of homemade coleslaw is available as an alternative. The fish is solid and fresh - bought in from Swansea just up the coast. The meat pies are produced by a local butcher in Haverfordwest. There are Panini, salads, sandwiches, sausages and savaloy. And all are well-cooked and large of portion. Coffee was weak to my palette but tea is traditional and thirst quenching. Ice cream is Joe's (another fairly local supplier) and there are puddings on offer. The café is easy to miss but quite a find.
