This hotel used to be good but now looking very dated. Shower pressure is very bad. Staff as usual good. Rooms are in need of updating. Avoid the ground floor rooms on the new extension due to noise from reception and people with the awful small cases with wheels. ( these can be picked up and carried). This hotel is always expensive, but it will be if we are prepared to pay.

Room Tip: Top floor rear.

Chose this Hotel due to its proximity to my business meeting the following day. I normally rely on Premier Inns for the standard they normally offer. This was fairly expensive yo some of the Premier Chain that I have used and frankly disappointing . I didn't use the restaurant associated with the Hotel as they both looked tired and dated. Rooms were ok but compared to some others I have used this would not be on my list of returns.

Although i cannot fault any of these premier inns, this one was a tad on the average side compared to all the others we have stayed at.This one is situated a good 50 yards off the road next to a pub where you have your buffet breakfast.Staff were helpful and the room was once again decent both in size and cleanliness.Other Tripadvisors have stated that the place needs a bit of a tidy up and if you compare this one to others you cannot disagree with them.It is handily placed for Southampton,a good 8 odd miles out so good for trips to isle of wight, cruises etc.On summary as we paid 39 pounds for 4 of us for the night and 55 including breakfasts you cannot complain bar the slight unkept look of the place.(we first stayed here oct 2011 and then nov 2012)

Having stayed in many Premier Inns then this one is definitely showing its age. The rooms were dated and the soundproofing is less than adequate, you really can hear people walking about upstairs. On the plus side the staff were extremely friendly and the whole place was spotless. All in all it is adequate but will certainly require updating to the standards of newer hotels

was probably excellent at one time, still a quiet comfortable night, in a good position, good value but now needs a refurbish along with the beefeater. Breakfast gives a vast choice and you can eat as much as you like. Dinner is good value and the service friendly, they are doing a good job but the interior and exterior of the building is needing money spent on it to bring it up to the standard one usually expects.

Stayed here for the night. Did not get any sleep due to a herd of elephants stomping in the room above. Room right next to car park so heard every door open and close throughout the night. And to top it all went to complain only to find a drunk coming into the Inn with his trousers round his ankles and a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken in his hand!

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs facing away from the car park

We had a very comfortable stay. The staff were extremely helpful and the check in process was hassle free. We were asked if we wanted to book for dinner and breakfast but there was no pressure to do so. we did use the restaurant and the evening meal was very good, the breakfast was excellent. The staff were really polite and friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. All in all this hotel is great value for money for a one night stop-over.
