The little distillery of Père François and his sons is an excellent place to get to know the secrets behind the "green fairy". He claims to have the biggest collection in the world of bottles, posters and anything else related to the mythical absinthe beverage. However, the museum and the little distillery is only open to groups of 10 to 50 people (7chf per participant including degustation) if an appointment is made two weeks in advance. Often booked out quickly because of high demand.
PS: If you come by car from Yverdon, take Exit 2 "Yverdon-Ouest" and make the wonderful drive over the Jura mountain range passing by the village Mauborget with its stunning view over Lake Neuchatel and the Bernese Alps
