“We loved it”
Reviewed 11 June 2013

We went to this site with eurocamp in May 2012. It was a lovely quiet campsite with a local feel as there are some people who permanently live on the site in their static caravans. There is a bit of aeroplane noise, but not enough to cause a distraction. The pool was lovely, at one point, we had the whole childrens area to ourselves, much to our childrens delight. We hope to return again this year, with a tent this time (the eurocamp caravan was excellent though, very clean and tidy with everything you could need - and we were 3 adults and 2 toddlers)!!!

Our stay with Eurocamp over Easter 2013 was our second visit to this site. We initally went in August 2012 and had lovely weather, plenty of time outside. Easter was alot cooler but the site was still immaculate, everything was open as usual (shop, laundry, bar etc) and the "Kids Camping" entertainment club was even open over the Easter weekend. The site is very well kept and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We have young children and this site is a great place for them, it is not noisy late at night and in all people seem happy with their holidays here. It is a great location for visiting some of the highlights of the Netherlands and coach tours from the site are available if you wish. The pools are better catered to younger children or those wanting a relaxing swim and I imagine teenagers would find this area a bit boring.

Stayed here in a static caravan booked through Vacansoleil. The campsite is not far from the coast and is set in a rural area surrounded by bulb fields but was not far from the coast. It has got an indoor and outdoor pool area with slides and there are smaller paddling pools which are ideal for younger children. A small park area is close to the pools. There is a shop and small bar and restaurant onsite. The caravans were surrounded by bushes etc which made them quite private. We used this campsite to explore various places in the Holland region including Haarlem, Amsterdam, De Hoge Veluwe and the nearby sand dunes. The campsite had a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere and we would recommend it - great for young families!

Stayed with Eurocamp again our 5th or 6th Eurocamp holiday and found the site very relaxing and quaint. The pool is ok but more suited to primary school kids and toddlers. There is a tiny bar and a onsite restaurant also. The best bits about the site was its local feel, the caravans were secluded with high shrubbery all around making your caravan very private. There is a small fishing lake, football pitch and if your kids have bikes this place is ideal we let our 3 roam around the site as there are practically no cars moving around only to load & unload. I fully reccomend this site however if you want busy and bustling then nearby Durinell maybe for you! Its a great location to cycle and as a touring base with beaches close by the small market town of Rindsburg is around 1.5 miles away with small supermarket, bakers, cafes, there is small market every few days and a bike shop that repaired a puncture for us very quickly etc There were also a few farm animals that could be petted goats etc and the play area very good also.

Room Tip: There are only a handfull of Eurocamp caravans there and obtaining one difficult however there are o...

Stayed here for a week with "Eurocamp" in a two bedroomed static caravan.
The site is quite nice, a mixture of private caravans, Eurocamp (and I'm sure other companies) and normal camping grounds for people with tents, caravans etc. It seems to be quite well kept and fairly busy.
The swimming pool was a disappointment for my kids, quite small, okay for young ones but older kids soon got bored with it. Other than that there isn't much else to do.
There is a shop which opens only limited hours and a bar and restaurant which seemed to be fine. There is wi-fi in the camp but it's signal didn't make it to our caravan thus requiring evening visits to the bar...
The camp is within easy striking distance of Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Haarlem & Delft all of which we visited. Easy driving to each, use the Park & Ride at Sloterdijk for Amsterdam.
The caravan itself was basic and quite cramped but then I suppose they all are.
