Given this day as a Birthday present. Had a really lovely relaxed and informative day. We learnt a lot and were well looked after by Ken and his team. After the wine tasting we were treated to a lovely ploughmans lunch and Devon cream tea. This is a 'must go' attraction.

My husband was given this tour for 2 as a special birthday present. It was an amazing day out.
We met at the vineyard in Bishopsteignton at 10.15 and were served coffee. (A group of 8 couples)Then Ken, the proprietor, took us all on a journey as to how he and his son set up the vineyard, and started producing wine on a small commercial scale. We went out to view the different vines, then went into the wine producing area, where Ken explained that process from gathering the grapes to the end product. We then tasted all the varieties they produce!
We then had a very good ploughmans or sandwich lunch followed by Devon scones, strawberry jam and of course clotted cream!
We all departed with a bottle of our choice. It was such an interesting day. Ken speaks so well, and everyone was so interested. I really do wish the family well, they certainly deserve it.
We have visited vineyards in Chile, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and of course France, but this was by far the most interesting.

We were treated to this experience as a gift and would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to do something different! The tour of the vineyard is very informative learning about the history of Old Walls Vineyard and whole wine process from selecting the vines, growing and harvesting the fruit. After a walk around the vines we learnt about the wine making process and tasted lots of wine!

The experience also included a lunch. We choose a ploughmans which was really tasty and a large portion! At the end of the tour we were able to choose a bottle of wine (from the ones we had tasted earlier) to take home - a lovely surprise. We also bought an extra bottle as it was delicious!

Very refreshing to have such a personal account of of the vineyard, it's origins, what it took to get started and how the wine was made by the owner. The tour was followed by a tasting of the wines made here and a very acceptable lunch and then a bottle of wine as a gift when we left. The vineyard is set on a steep hillside overlooking Teignmouth so be prepared for a little light walking - trainers rather than high heels. Received as a gift at Christmas but well worth going as a present to yourself

Visited here as a result of a thoughtful Christmas present from our daughter. Arrived at about 10 a.m. in time to have a cup of coffee before the tour began.

Our host talked to us and the other members of our tour group, at length about every single aspect of setting up and maintaining a vineyard from choosing the grape varieties and planting to pressing the juice and bottling etc. At the end of the day we felt as though we really understood the whole process and how very much dependent on the weather it is!

Included in the tour was a fine lunch, simple fare but delicious and washed down with a glass of their own very fine red - as good as I have drunk anywhere! We finished with a little wine buying spree in their shop and ended our day with a bottle of rose at home with dinner.

A very memorable day with great weather. You simply must visit if you are in the area.
