This is our second time to rent from Pine Knot. The Little Bear home is clean and cozy. Very close to the Village and Snow Summit. We loved cooking our meals in the kitchen instead of eating out. Will stay there again. Thank you Derek!

Our first "cabin camping" and Pine Knot Guest Ranch totally blew us away. It really wasn't camping at all in the end -- we felt very spoiled with the fireplace and Jacuzzi and kitchenette... and the distance to the village really encouraged us to just dine out every day and not cook (yay!) Our 6-yr-old puppy totally loved it there as well. We were in cabin #15 and it was exactly like in the pictures: very cozy, cute and intimate. Puppy thought we'd gotten a new house; she felt right at home and couldn't stop exploring! Kitchen supply includes 4 plates, 4 mugs, plenty of silverware, cutting board, dish soap and hand soap (note: no dishwashing scrub), toaster, microwave. Welcome basket includes teas, hot cocoa, and coffee/sugar/creamer. Gilchrist & Soames bath salts for the jacuzzi. Bath amenities (much better quality than some five-star resorts!!) include lavender body/hand lotion from Trader Joe's -- smells heavenly!, richly moisturizing face/body soap, makeup remover, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer. The setup was very cute in every room, bears everywhere. Plenty of warm fleece blankets and the comforter was amazingly cozy! Puppy loved lounging on the bed with us (just be sure to cover the comforter with dog sheet first). Literature about surrounding areas is scattered throughout the room, including lists of pup-friendly restaurants and pup sitters (we didn't use this service). The "Welcome" folder in the sitting area includes everything from how to turn on the fireplace & Jacuzzi, to again lists of local eateries, attractions, with their phone numbers and address. We arrived very late (about 9:30pm) and so our keys and check-in sheet were taped to the office door for us to fill out and drop. So, unfortunately, we didn't get to say hello to Gloria -- she sounded absolutely lovely on the phone! -- but all the details about the cabin, the grounds, and locales were explained in such detail that we really didn't need any further assistance. One "hiccup" that we had, our key was jammed the first night we arrived. My husband figured it out but it took a few tries before we finally got used to opening the door. Our pup discovered creatures called llamas that are tall and hairy with big eyes and a perpetually munching mouth, and bunnies that didn't hop away when she approached. It was such a lovely cottage to be and we will for sure return!!! Thank you Gloria and family!!!

Our annual Veterans Day getaway for our anniversary landed us in Big Bear this year. The Pine Knot Guest Ranch was perfect. We were in Cabin 20 which was seperated from the other cabins on a hill. It had a king size bed, wood burning fireplace, huge jacuzzi tub, and kitchenette. The kitchenette had a coffee maker, cutlery, plates and cups and a small refrigerator/freezer with ice cube trays. There were two skylights that were lovely. The front balcony had chairs with a beautiful view of the llama pen and peek a boo views of the lake. The location is great, just a few blocks from the village. Highly recommended.

Our first experience here and it was incredile! The service was wonderful, the cabin was clean and cozy and i felt like i was home! We stayed in Cabin 19 and it looked just like the picture. The jacuzzi was big and clean. The cabin was well kept and the bed was comfortable. Walking distance from the village and super close to everything in big bear. We came at the end of October so it was quiet there but still lots to see. There was a suprise snowfall and they were sure to plow the roads so it was easy to travel the following day. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. It is family owned and they were so polite and knowledgeable. We brought our pet and they were very attentive to Bailey's needs and making sure we had a great vacation. Gloria was amazing and very helpful!! Will definitely be back!

This was a fantastic hideaway in big bear lake. Just two blocks from the village, shops and restaurants, but had complete privacy. We stayed in cabin 18 and had a very comfortable bed, nice tv, which could be seen from bed or the jacuzzi tub. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful after a long day. Nice little kitchenette, with small refrigerator and microwave, plus a beautiful fireplace. My husband loved walking and visiting the llamas. We would definitely come back. Lisa was extremely friendly and very helpful. Dog friendly, a nice plus.

We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be coming back. I expected the cabins to be more spaced out and was worried about noise since pets are welcome. Pleasantly surprised, we didn't hear anything when we were in the cabin and the space between each cabin was enough to feel secluded, but close enough to feel 'home-y'. It was close enough to the village to walk to it, though we didn't take advantage of the convenience.

Loved this little family owned guest ranch. It was perfect for us and our dog. It was quiet, and the perfect place to go to get away from it all. Within walking distance of the village, we walked there often. Our dog was allowed off leash on the ranch property, and she loved going to check out the llamas. We had the upstairs cabin above the front office. I loved the little kitchen and we cooked there every day. The only thing I was disappointed about was the tub. I was so looking forward to a Jacuzzi bath, but the jets just weren't clean enough for me. Other than that, I will be back, I loved this place.
