We just returned from a two night stay in cabin 18. This was a family trip with 7 adults, and 5 children under the age of 6. The cabin set up is great for a large group. We liked the casual decor, but if you are looking for someplace luxurious, this is not the place. While it is nicely appointed, and it was very much to our liking, some people might find it too simple for their taste. The best part is that we were able to have our grand kids and dogs, and not worry when they wanted to run around and enjoy themselves. It is roomy, and quiet, even though it is on the main road into Big Bear. The staff was very friendly, and helpful with our every need. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because we paid extra to use the jacuzzi, they filled it for us and turned it on, but when we went to use it later that night it did not have enough water, and if we tried to use the jets, it sprayed out alll over the room. It was too late to call them and wake them up to tell them, but we wished they would have checked once it was full. Perhaps they thought there were going to be more adults, but it was two adults and three children, and the water level did not rise accordingly. All in all it is a great spot for a nice cabin experience. We will definitely be back. We did not take advantage of the free bikes, or kayaks. Note to people taking little children, take them to the Alpine Slide down the road, lots of family activities, and very reasonably priced, we had 5 adults and 4 kids go on the chairlift, and do the slide, and it only cost $20. Which is very fair. They have go carts, mini golf (Small course) and a nice waterside which is $15 dollars for an all day pass.
