“GREAT First Trip to Big Bear”

This review is long awaited but I needed to review the great experience my husband and I had on our first trip to Big Bear. It was a last minute decision and we happened to come across this quaint cabin and thought it to good to be true. I reached out to Guy and was contacted back almost immediately. To our luck, Guy had a last minute cancellation. The communication and the booking process was completely hassle free and Guy was ever so accommodating. He even offered us a military discount as my husband is active duty. We arrived at the cabin and were absolutely delighted. It had all the comforts of home away from home. It was perfect for out romantic Christmas getaway. Everything was provided in the way of linens and a fully equipped kitchen, we really didn't have to leave. Being the first time booking through VRBO we were a little hesitant. Thank you Guy for making the process so smooth. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any couple looking for a quiet romantic getaway to the mountains.

"Simply Irresistible" Is truly a newly renovated rustic cabin. Every inch of space has something special. The two large TV's were fun to watch with hot cocoa. The cabin is extremely clean. It is a close drive to the village, dog park, and a walk on the North Shore. In forty five minutes a beautiful pleasant drive to Lake Arrowhead. Guy the owner is pleasant to work with. Have a wonderful holiday.

“Perfect romantic mountain getaway”

This cabin is a perfect place to get away from the routine, cuddle up, and enjoy the mountain air. It has been equipped with every amenity you could want, and the decor is what I define as "rustic chic". My favorite things are the roomy slate shower and the poofy queen size bed.
We also loved our picnic lunch outside and reading on the porch. Of course the big flatscreen got a lot of use since it is football season.

The location is great too......we took walks to the lake, and it was just a short drive to the village. A perfect romantic mountain getaway for our anniversary.

“A jewel in the mountains”

To celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary my wife and I decided to stay local. Our choice was a two day getaway to Big Bear. In the past whenever I rented a cabin in the area the accommodations have been a bit "funky" at best. When we arrived and opened the front door we were pleasantly surprised. The entire cabin had been recently renovated with a rustic feel. There are two new big screen TV's in both the living room and bedroom. The kitchen has been updated and stocked with all of the tools needed to prepare meals in house. The bedroom has a VERY comfortable king sized bed that was very hard to leave in the chilly mornings. The bathroom has a newly updated shower with new fixtures throughout. The spa/jacuzzi maintains a constant temperature and is enclosed in a very private gated area. The free wi fi worked perfectly with plug in's for ones personal devices. The only thing I would recommend is to bring a bathrobe to use after using the jacuzzi. There is a small market within walking distance and the main village is only a three minute drive. The ski lift's are another five minute drive past the village. For a very romantic dinner we dined at the Peppercorn restaurant in the village. Very good food! All in all we had a very memorable romantic experience just two hours from L.A. We now have our "jewel in the mountain."

“The COZIEST MOST RELAXING & ROMANTIC Cabin In Big Bear”
Reviewed 12 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

As soon as you walk in, you smell wood, ahhhh. It's heavenly. This is such a cozy cabin and is our number one getaway location from the hustle and bustle of busy LA living. The drive up is pleasant as you look out to the mountains or the sunset. Who ever built this cabin or renovated knew EXACTLY what they were doing. Every single thing you could think of has been done. We arrived at night and were like, hey where is this cabin? Sure enough, they even had a lighted number sign by the road so you could EASILY find the cabin. That right there got them an A in my book! Then you walk in, like I said the smell of wood is so relaxing. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you would need, literally everything you would ever need. The fireplace was very very romantic for my spouse and I to enjoy as we watched TV on what had to have been the largest flat screen I've seen. It was so big I thought I was actually at an AMC Theater. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need to cook whatever dish you do desire. There was even a cute window above the sink that opened up so you could enjoy some fresh air. The whole cabin is decorated so cute with rustic signs and bear associated items, makes sense since it's Big Bear. What we like to do is get in the jacuzzi at night. Talk about romantic and COZY! Talk about relaxing. It's also secluded so people who drive by don't see you, you have your privacy. Looking up at the nights sky as you enjoy a late night dip with the one you love, is there really anything better? Nope! I can not stress enough how RELAXING this cabin is. Oh the bedroom, even the carpet in the bedroom is SUPER soft. The bed, more like the throne, was the best mattress I have ever laid on. With the busyness of daily life in LA, I can say for sure, I caught up on my sleep up there. There is also a cute little patio outside the bedroom. How close is this place to the market...you could walk there! How close is this place to the center of town with all the great shopping and restaurants, literally 4 minutes if that. If you are in need of a relaxing, cozy romantic getaway, give this place a try at least once. Trust me you'll turn into a regular visitor like us! This is our second time staying in Big Bear and we will now on call this our home away from home. I don't need to stay at any other cabins up there to try them out, I found the best and I'm done looking for a new one.

“Wonderful, Relaxing Stay at Rustic Cabin”
Reviewed 9 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

This cabin is newly renovated (November 2015), very comfortable, with a great, fireplace-like heater right in front of the couch. You'll sleep well in the bed, and there are extra blankets to keep you warm and cozy. There's a large TV in the living room, and a small TV in the bedroom. Wifi works very well throughout the cabin. The kitchen offers everything you could ever need to prepare meals, including spices. Well-placed night lights inside and outside the cabin will guide you at night. Even the street number sign is backlit so you can find the cabin very easily when you arrive at night. There are plenty of hooks and shelves on the walls to hang your jackets, towels, etc. and keep all your personal items within easy reach. If you bring your dog, there are even little plastic bags next to the back door so you can clean up after your dog when you go for a walk. The interior decorations are whimsical and fun. We LOVED the heated jacuzzi. The location of this cabin is great, just a very short trip away from the Village. There is a neighborhood market in walking distance. This cabin is a wonderful place to relax and get away from a hectic job. If you want to bring your laptop to write your next novel or screenplay, there's a beautiful writing desk next to the bedroom. You will really feel like everything has been taken care of, and all you need to do is just enjoy your stay. Highly recommended!!

Reviewed 15 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We just absolutely LOVED staying at the "Simply Irresistible" cabin! It was a perfect getaway from the city. It had everything you needed and loved the cute bear motif throughout. The cabin is located near the village and lake. We walked to the village had lunch and did a little shopping. In the evening we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the mountains and the stars above. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to friends and family because it is...Simply Irresistible!!!
