I have stayed at this hotel over the past 18 months for work purposes.

As the company pays, i don't know the cost, or the value for money but found the reception staff always friendly & pleasant to deal with.

I usually stay on level 3 in a crew room. I assume it's a standard room, no spa but it does come with a bath/shower (not bad considering some rather pricey places charge extra for a bath).

The rooms are always clean, reasonably modern although the carpet looks dreary. They use thermo electric fridges.... Drinks aren't as cold as a normal fridge, but no compressor noise to disturb you when sleeping :-) The beds are the best i've slept in by far..... Dream mattress by australian company A.H. Beard. Considering buying one for my home but they don't come cheap! Another bonus is the rooms have opening windows.... another rarity especially if you don't like constant air conditioning.

I have never used room service but have used the restaurant. I find the food is average, if not undersized or overpriced. The menu choices seem rather limited but there is a seperate menu that you can order during the day (if you don't want to wait until 6pm).

The bar is opposite the Reception in the lobby. It's merely a service counter with a couple of chairs in the main entry, detracts from a bar atmosphere. Nothing stands out, & i've found the european gentleman who works there arrogant & rude, as opposed to the women who worked there before him.

Although situated on the Hume hwy, traffic noise is not an issue. There are a few usual takeaways a short distance away, or a little further (about 10min walk) a good pub & limited shopping centre (the cafe does great breakfasts).

There is no spa or gym at the hotel, the outdoor pool is moderately sized with tables, chairs & umbrella's adjoining the restaurant. Security guard with dog patrols premises & outdoor carpark.

Most of our guests find us great value for money as we offer comfortable, clean rooms and great service. I am glad to hear you experienced this throughout your stays with us. I am sorry to hear you found our restaurant meals average. Our recent menu refurbishment has received positive feedback from other guests, and was created by our Executive Chef with what our regular guests like eating in mind. Another alternative is to try our bar menu which offers a great selection of bar food.

While there is no spa or gym at the hotel our friendly reception staff can point you in the direction of local facilities. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights our bar offers great happy hour specials I encourage you take advantage of.

We hope to see you at Rydges Bankstown again soon.

We recently travelled to play in a corporate games competition and the stadium was located in Bankstown. We stayed two nights at Rydges and were pleasantly surprised with the experience.

We arrived late on Friday night so just ordered room service. We were really impressed with the standard of food we got. We also ended up having room service on our second night and again, were happy with the food - very tasty and better quality than most room service offerings from other hotels.

The room was comfortable and quiet. The only down side of the area is there is not many places to go out nearby so I would not recommend this as a base to visit Sydney. Overall, quite a good stay and the room was definitely value for money.

I am pleased to hear you took advantage of our late night room service whilst staying at Rydges Bankstown. Our menu caters for those who want to dine outside of restaurant hours, and offers delicious and filling meals.

While the location of Rydges Bankstown was ideal for your corporate games competition, I agree that there is not much on offer as opposed to staying in the heart of Sydney. However, this presents a fantastic opportunity for you to take advantage of our bar and restaurant which offers delicious meals and refreshing drinks. It’s even better if you join our Rydges Priority Guest programme, which will get you 20% of restaurant and bar purchases.

We look forward to seeing you again next time.

My family & friends had a fabulous time when we came over to celebrate my baby shower.
The reception we got was the very first thing that we appreciated. The lady that attended us was very professional , warm & welcoming.
On the day the function room was as planned. The staff were friendly & upto date with their arrangement and timing. The food was tasty!!
I would recommend other people to have their special functions at the Ridges Bankstown.
Impressed

This is close to my mum's house, so a great place to escape the hordes of children sleeping on the floor for the family reunion. We stayed four nights and enjoyed the pool daily. Staff were always available on the front desk and provided efficient service (and towels for the pool). The bed was very comfortable, though I would agree that the bathroom was showing its age. We paid about $111 a night (enjoying a reduction by joining their free privilege club on website and a 3 nights for 2 offer), so clearly there are a wide range of price points. The room was clean and everything worked.

I am pleased to hear you took advantage of our Priority Guest Rewards programme. With late checkout, a 10% discount of our best available rates and 20% of restaurant and bar purchases, what’s not to love! In addition to this great programme, our offers (such as the one you purchased) also have something to appeal to everybody. You might like to try our bed and breakfast offer at your next family reunion, and enjoy a full buffet breakfast with your accommodation, while the hordes of children are fighting out who gets the last of the cereal!
