To survive, a local out-of-the-way restaurant depends on its reputation. Based on our experience, Sedici's is going to survive for a long, long time. Two great aspects of this restaurant are that you can see them preparing the meals in the kitchen (very clean, always wore gloves) and the chef/owner came out at the end of the evening and spoke to each table of his guests to ensure they enjoyed his restaurant and his food - and he looked like he had been working very, very hard!
There were four of us and we started with a garlic crust, salt & pepper squid, seared atlantic scallops and seafood medley to share. Sorry - couldn't pick a favourite although the presentation of the scallops and the medley were a stand-out. The taste of the garlic crust was wonderful and there was a generous and tasty serving of squid. For mains we has a garlic prawn & chorizo pizza, risotto marinara, tiger prawn risotto and a diavolo risotto. The courses were very generous and so filling we could not order dessert (which, judging by other tables, looked fantastic). Apart from the disappointment of being too full to order dessert, the only other downside to Sedici's is the noise - once the conversations at other tables get going, it is a very noisy restaurant.
All up, $140 for the 4 of us, which equates to $35 each for 2 courses. Considering the quality of the food and the service, very good value indeed. We will certainly return to Sedici's.
