Great location, Great staff, Great stay. I was there on business with the family in tow. Staff very helpful and with tram stop and reasonable selection of eateries nearby it was very convenient ... especially with Coles alongside. Would stay there again as accomodated all needs and with good access to airports and arterial roads and trams was easy to roam far and wide.

Room Tip: Initial concern about road noise etc. as a front room was allocated but found that not to be a major...

we stayed 6 nights at Punthill Essendon in a two bedroom apartment. The hotel is located opposite a busy roundabout at the corner of Mt Alexander and Keilor Roads, however our apartment (103) was at the back of the property and consequently we didn't hear that much road noise at all, so sleep quality was good.

The apartment was well appointed, of good quality and clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was ample closet space. The ensuite had a separate shower, while the main bathroom had a shower over the bath, as well as a washing machine and dryer. The only potentia issue was that the main bedroom didnt have an airconditioning outlet, which while it didnt matter for our stay (was only around 20 degrees C) it might be a problem in summer.

The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating, and there were a lot of restaurants and eating places around the hotel. Demazzi Stone Grill was located under the hotel and you could book back to your room. They had a great range of wonderful food - the scallops in the seafood basket were fantastic! We also ate at Creme, Max's Corner and the Patisserie in Keilor road is well worth a visit - yum.

There is a tram stop right outside the hotel and the no 59 tram will take you right into the city, you will just need to purchase a Myki card before you travel, and there is a bus service to Tullamarine airport. Both Moonee Valley and Flemington Racecourses are also just a short tram ride away

Overall the hotel is well worth considering - we definitely will be back.

Room Tip: as hotel located on a busy roundabout, ask for a room at the back of the property, which are nice an...

I stayed here with my hubby and 1 yr old son the night before flying to Sydney. Chose the punt hill grand as no closer airport accommodation seemed to have 1 bedroom rooms.
The room was good and location easy to get to via public transport and lots of restaurants around to eat dinner.
Unfortunately our room was a little noisy at night due to being on such a noisy road.
Would stay again

Stayed two nights, first on business with use of the conference room, the meeting was catered for, morning tea and lunch both were at the time arranged,we could not have asked for better service. Second night was private and again found the service excellent, room was very clean and had everything I required, have no hesitation in recommending Punt hill in Essendon.

I came here for a business meeting and conference we were having here. The conference room was actually really good and we will be going back there again for more meetings. I wasn't expecting much from the hotel or the area, but it turned out to be pretty nice so we ended up staying on longer and enjoyed it.
I would stay here again.

I think if I booked through the hotel rather than reservations I would not have had to pay 45 extra for my 9 year old who slept on the couch as I told reservations he would.

We just needed somewhere to stay for 2 nights while we waited out me being sick and because the princes Park couldn't accommodate us for the full 3 nights.

Location is great. Good coffee downstairs. Don't go to that thai down stairs go to Niddrie instead and go to the thai there it is better. It's not bad thai just not great.

Tram outside door.

Rooms clean. Although some things needed replacing. Holes in bed linen wasn't something I was impressed with.

TV in bedroom didn't work.

Bathroom was quite clean. Mould and grime though needed some attention. But it is undergoing renovations so I am hoping they would update the bathroom.

Bed want particularly comfortable but again in reno stage so that might get upgraded.

A bit expensive compared to a better accommodation down the road for $100 cheaper. Just wasn't available both nights and we needed somewhere.

I think when renovations are complete these will be a decent little apartment to stay in.

Staff Were friendly.

Housekeeping decided because We don't drink instant coffee that they didn't have to refill tea. Which annoyed me as there Were only 4 teabags. 2 cups each for my husband and I.
So I brought tea from downstairs

And towels. 2 towels were supplied and I had to Ask for another towel.

Towels were very thin and small.

Dear Natalie S,
Thank you for your feedback regarding Punthill Essendon.
If there is a third guest staying in any of our one bedroom apartments on a sofa bed, then an additional fee will be charged, irrespective of how the booking was made.
We have noted all your comments and are appreciative of your review as it enables us to address areas that need improvement.
The bedroom has a new digital TV and we are not sure why you found it did not work as it is functioning perfectly.
We do hope that we are given the opportunity of welcoming you back to Punthill in the future.
Kind regards,
