We stayed for 6 nights over Easter - a wonderfully, relaxing place to stay. Loved listening to and watching the birds, chilling in the hammock, strolling round the lake. Everything well thought out - spare batteries for lamps if needed, fire lighters, wood. The yurts were gorgeous & we loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen. Definitely we'll worth a visit

Our May 2014 visit was our second stay with Sopley forest yurts and if anything it was even better than last September - and we really loved it then too. The site is gorgeous, and so very peaceful with just the mass of Spring birds in the woods, and on the lake. It was such a relief after London! Again very comfortable and clean with quality decorations and sheets and cutlery, and the woodburning stove heated up the yurt very quickly. The weather was changeable, but that gave us an excuse to stay in and just chill and make bonfires and sit in the sun when it was out by the lake. We were broken hearted to leave! Our next plan is to take kids and grandkids down there hiring a couple of yurts, it will be wonderful, and great fun. I love the fact that you can have a very light environmental footprint, while having a gorgeous time. Loved the bird feeders put up now too, and the New Forest and surroundings are wonderful in May.

Room Tip: All the yurts are in a lightly wooded area affording dappled shade and moonlight, with full sun just...

We stayed in Dragon 2 at the end of April, weather was very poor but we had a great time with all Yurts occupied by wedding guests/ friends and family. Interiors very tastefully finished and we made good use of log burner. Barbeque "full English" for 10 was a high spot watched by a family of ducks. All facilities are of a high standard and although we were not seasoned campers we would be happy to return for a summer break.

Room Tip: All in one room, fight over the double bed or mattresses on floor!

Spent Easter weekend in the Elephant yurt. Great experience with the yurt decorated with unique Mongolian items which adds a lot of character. The only downside was that the weather was cold for two days and although the yurt is well insulated, the mornings can be very cold until you get the wood stove going. The gas powered fridge works well but a reminder that it is a bar size fridge so if you stay a few more days you will need to do a few shops. The only gripe is that it would have been nice to have more lamps in the yurt. With 3 kids and two small battery lamps, the yurt is large-ish so quite dark at night so very hard for kids to play board games with limited light or to read... A small 60 watt bulb would have made the yurt a lot more comfortable and allowed us to stay up an enjoy the experience. Otherwise a good experience

stayed here for my cousin's hendo. We occupied all 3 yurts, and had the place to ourselves. It is in a secluded spot in the woods by a really pretty lake. the yurts are beautifully decorated and very comfy, with good showers and little outdoor kitchens which are fun to cook in. we had a BBQ and a bonfire and party in the woods - it was great fun and everyone loved it.

Have just returned from our second stay in Dragon Yurt II and again, we were not disappointed. A beautiful location, just love the privacy and the children could run free. Looking forward to booking another break there soon.
