“Loved it, will take the kids next time.”
Reviewed 22 February 2009

We stayed in a studio cabin (double bed only). Found it very comfortable and relaxing. We only had 1 night there and wished we had stayed longer. The facilities were great had a beautiful meal in the cafe.
Walking around the grounds we felt like we had been transported to a resort in Queensland. Very relaxing. The kids are very well catered for with pool, games room, tennis court and the access to the beach for a sunset stroll was great. Next time we will have to take the kids.

We love it at Adelaide Shores, we have stayed there many times over the years. In fact, last year, we stayed there in the April, July and October school holidays. This year we stayed in early September for a weekend and then again during the October school holidays ..... we are booked in again during the Christmas holidays. This place is like an addiction for us, as it caters for the whole family. There is so much for the kids to do which enables my husband and I to sit back and relax and enjoy each others company for a bit of "us" time. During our last stay the kids loved the new pedal go-carts which are now available for hourly hire .... you just have to be careful when you are driving around the park because some children have no road sense.

We mostly use camp sites but we have stayed in a Tourist cabin which was quite comfy but even better was the Deluxe cabin .... which was very luxurious it had everything ........ this Christmas we are again opting for the Deluxe cabin. It is so great that Adelaide Shores supply all of the cabins with linen now. That means no more stacking up the car with pillows, which take up half of your luggage space.

I know that Adelaide Shores can be a little more pricey to stay at than other parks, but it has "everything" and they are constantly improving the park, so it is well worth spending that little bit extra I think.

Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed in Standard Cabin 10 on Sixth Avenue which is a 6 berth. There were 2 bunks in one room and a double bed in the main living area. The kitchen was good with a full size fridge, stove (no oven) and microwave.
We didn't need to bring our own linen which is always a bonus and there were plenty of pillows/blankets. The standard cabins come with air conditioning and good wardrobe space too.
It was less than 100m to the pool/jumping pillow/BBQ area.
We found that the Showers nearest the Entertainment Room had the best water pressure and you could listen to the radio as you showered. The showers closest to the road lost pressure and hot water. All amenities are VERY clean an in great condition. The laundries are very good. You can buy washing powder cheaply from a vending machine and the washing machines cost $4 for 22 min cycle. The dryers cost $1 for 12 mins and there are plenty of them. These machines only take $1 coins which you can get from reception 9am - 9pm.
There is one computer in the entertainment room that you can access the internet from (wasn't working due to lightening strike) cost is $2 for 20mins and $1 for every 10 mins after that ($1 coins).
Access to the beach was blocked by huge amounts of sand they were putting on the beach, but this area should be great when they've finished it.
Next time I would try and get Standard Room 15 or 5 which are nearest the pool/bbq/showers/toilets/laundry area or perhaps lash out and get a cabin with an ensuite. Staff wanted to charge me for the whole amount of my stay when I had already paid first night through their website. Be sure to print out deposit confirmation. Staff were very obliging.

  • Liked — Short distance to Factory Outlet Shopping and Glenelg Eateries.
  • Disliked — Lack of internet and walking to showers in the morning.
