Thunder and lightening in Pamplona made us find a local restaurant for the evening. Thank god for that. What a plesant surprise. Had the best dinner ever in Spain, good wine and greate atmosphere.

“First rate asador: a perfect lunchtime stopover”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

Recommended to us by Hotel Maria Cristina in San Sebastian as a good place to stop when driving south (towards Zaragoza/Valencia). Within a few minutes of the AP 15 motorway. Excellent traditional local cooking: the vegetables from Tudela are well worth trying and famous in Spain. We had lamb for the main course but the steaks (chuletones) looked excellent as well. Two floors: the lower one (cider house) was packed (upstairs is more formal, but the same food). Efficient and rapid service, friendly staff, and good local cider to drink without risking one´s license. It´s not hard to find with GPS and a very short detour. Minutes from Pamplona if you are heading there. Mainly local people but full so worth reserving.

“Out of the way, but worth it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2013

The restaurant is located in a small, nice town about 20 mins from Pamplona. It is a typical Spanish sidreria, visited mostly by locals. The food was very good, closes in the afternoon so very late lunches are not possible. Good service by local people. Good to visit if you are near Pamplona. Dont miss it.

“Authentic cuisine near Pamplona”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2012

Near Pamplona, you shall find this excellent restaurant where you shall enjoy delicious local food and cuisine. Try the "chistorra" (local small sausage) and the "croquetas" (made with iberic ham) as starters. Then you can move to the typical "chuletón" (similar to ribbone steak, but much better) or have some of the local stews ("pochas"). And the desserts are great, like the "cuajada" (similar to yoghourt). Nice place and experience. The staff is also very kind.
