“It was lovely to come back for a second visit”
Reviewed 19 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We enjoyed our second visit to 2 Dormy House just as much - if not more. The apartment is very well-equipped and a perfect place to relax. Lovely to hear the birdsong and to watch a variety of wildlife visiting the garden from the apartment window. Great to relax with a book in the garden too. There are lots of great walks and plenty of good pubs and restaurants in the local area. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Hi Janet pleased you enjoyed your second visit as much, and I look forward to welcoming you back. Hopefully there should be some changes as we are looking to upgrade the shower and to redecorate in the quieter winter months.

“Beach view tranquility”
Reviewed 5 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Dormy House is easy to find via satnav and has ample parking. Easy to book, good communication with the owner. There is no lift so you need to be able to climb stairs to the 3rd floor. The flat is very well equipped, comfy bed, quality bedding and towels provided. Clean, spacious and plenty of hot water, heating had been left on in advance but not needed at time we went. The seaside theme and calm colour scheme of this apartment are cheerful and charming , it is wonderful to eat and drink at the lounge table, enjoying the amazing views of Brancaster beach in the distance. It is a short walk along the beach road it is on or you can drive down and use the pay and display car park. The lawned, well presented communal garden below gave us the treat of lovely birdsong and, at dawn and dusk, 2 young muntjac deer trotted across, lovely to see close up. We took our groceries with us but bought a few items meal from the Nisa at the garage a short drive into Brancaster Staithe, reasonably priced and easier to shop there than go to supermarkets. Lots of helpful information in a folder about places to visit and places to eat and drink. We left feeling totally refreshed and relaxed, a lovely holiday rental, so glad we stumbled across this little treasure. .

“What a gem!”
Reviewed 27 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had a three night stay in 2 Dormy House and wish it could have been longer. The flat is lovely; light and airy, superb views from every window and very well-equipped. The 15 minute walk along the footpath to the beach and easy access to the Norfolk Coastal Path is a real bonus. When it was too hot for walking, we enjoyed sitting in the garden (outdoor chairs thoughtfully provided). There is a lot to explore around Brancaster the surrounding area. A wonderful place to relax - can't wait to come back to Dormny House!

“beautiful little apartment”
Reviewed 11 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

we recently stayed at this apartment. On entering the building i was a bit put off by the dreary decor i will admit, our apartment was on the second floor. The apartment itself although small was very well equipped and very cosy. The weather was not too good on the first day but we had a lovely meal at the local pub 5 min walk away! which i can highly recommend . The next day the weather was glorious and it was so nice to be able to walk easily to the fabulous Brancaster beach. This is one of the apartments selling features as it is so close to the beach. Its downside is the building it is situated in very old dreary and feels like a old peoples home. The apartment owner was lovely and helpful and had made a super effort of making her apartment light airy modern with lovely appliances and attention to detail. All in all we had a very relaxed stay in a lovely apartment

I'm pleased you had a lovely weekend and totally take on board your comments about the interior of the communal parts of the house. This will be addressed in time but cannot be done so until the freehold defaults to the apartment owners which is a drawn out affair at the moment then we hope to redecorate and put some new carpets down!

“Beautiful Brancaster: Beaches,Birds and Bliss”
Reviewed 28 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Had an amazing 3 night stay over the weekend of 23-26th October. Once we'd navigated the doors and stairs, we found the beautiful little apartment. Small, but perfect for the two of us. The views were beautiful and the whom experience was heavenly. Lunch at The White Horse was fantastic and a Sunday spent watching the Rugby and drinks after a mornings walking on the beach were highlights.

The apt is located on the top floor and has sea views from all rooms. It's decorated beautifully and is comfortable and extremely clean.
Perfect for a romantic few days away from it all but with all your home comforts as well. We were sad to leave.
