I stayed here for a night in mid September with my partner and 4 friends on a biking holiday (Munich to Venice). Having searched for other places in the town to stay, which all seemed to be full, we ended up here.
Being a hotel we expected something a little more than we got. The contrast with a hotel we stayed in a ski resort in Austria close to the border could not have been more extreme, where we had a beautiful modern en-suite room, brilliant evening meal, fantastic breakfast and wonderful host, who even organised having our clothes to be washed (most welcome on a cycling holiday).
The Drago was run by a miserable dragon of a granny and quiet side kick of a husband. The welcome was muted to say the least - surprising as we were the only guests. The rooms were adequate and clean. No evening meal available so we went out for one.
The next mornings breakfast was astonishing....for all the wrong reasons. Laid out in the dinning room was a plate of cold meat, some cheese, several yoghurts, some stale rolls and 2 small bowls of cereal. Yes, 2 bowls for 6 hungry bikers. No bowls to decamp this miserable amount into. The dragon appeared and suggested we put it into cups. As for a jug of milk to go with it.....well obviously you get that hot, from the coffee machine as our 'host' demonstrated. She must have been trained in the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality.
For this service we were charged 80 euros a couple. Thats more than we were charged in the fabulous Austrian hotel.
Not a place id recommend in a hurry.
