This is certainly worth hunting down. The tea factory visit is not that great but the location and scenery is the best on the island. And when you drive up the mountain to the lake and the restaurant you will find somewhere pretty unique.
The restaurant has huge panoramic windows giving a great view over much of the South of Mauritius. It's clean and well presented and pretty full when we ate there.
Some of the food looked a little expensive on the menu but we went for very reasonably priced curries - one fish and one octopus. Both quite delicate, served with rices, a dal and tomato salad. Real quality and for 375 rupees each.
Probably the best value food that we have enjoyed on the island.
