Owner description: Highest Go Ape in the country plus NEW Forest Segways It's so high you can see all the way to Scotland. Enjoy a Tree Top Adventure with us in our beautiful forest, riding zip slides through skies, over water and in England's only true mountain forest. We're sure you'll love the spectacular views of the Lake District. Swinging through the canopy, wiping out at the bottom of zip wires and going on an adventure brings people together like nothing else we've ever seen. It really does. We'll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. And you can get off road and enjoy our epic forest adventure with Go Ape Forest Segway - an awesome segway experience in the Lakes with a down to earth twist. A great idea for a day out in the North Lakes (and home to Bassenthwaite ospreys), this is Go Ape at its most untamed.

Go Ape is a marvellous experience, really exciting but safe and a wonderful day out particularly in this beautiful location in the Northern Lake District.

“Brilliant”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

I wasn't sure if this was something I would like or not. When we arrived we were greeted, and we had a trainer who went through all the safety requirements. It soon became clear that this was very safe. The course was split into 5 sections, so if it wasn't for you, you could stop after first section. Most of the courses weren't too difficult, there was the odd crossing that was hard but in the main I managed (unfit over-50). I would recommend this to anyone, something a bit different.

“Ace”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

Quite nervous about heights but agreed to have a go during a drunken night in the pub the night before. So glad I did.

Good clear instruction leaves you confident of the techniques and equipment. The nerves remained somewhat at times, and a couple of the more tasking elements were avoided easily due to the design of the course.

It's a great laugh, although it's best not laugh too much at other members of your party before you tackle the same obstacle.

Highly recommended.

“Forestry walk”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Stopped in one of the many woodland car parks on and around the Whinlatter pass area to walk the dogs. Great walk, excellent views from between the tress, very relaxing and the dogs loved it.
