Lovely comfortable cottage, compact but perfect for a couple. Kitchen well equipped, bathroom fresh and clean. Towels were provided which we weren't expecting. The cottage is in a courtyard with others but there is no noise problem. It is situated in an ideal position in the village close to the village shop and 2 local pubs. There are numerous walks from the door of the cottage. Dogs are also welcome, we took our two dogs with us and they loved it as much as us. Even though there has been a change in ownership the standard of the cottages has been maintained. Will definitely be back again.

Great location, ideally situated in the northern lakes. Good facilities allowing you to have a very comfortable stay. Clean, with all the utensils etc needed for the week. Off-road parking ideal and the village is very nice!

Perfect location for walking the fells and in the centre of the village. Can't comment on the studio because we were upgraded to a cottage but we were very happy with the cottage.

Used the farmhouse, brilliant to use if there are a few of you wishing to chill out. Plenty facilities, Braithwaite is an ideal and tranquil spot.

“Lovely pet-friendly cottage”

I was only there for a couple of nights for some hill walking with the dog, but would have loved to stay longer. The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable with a good hot shower and comfortable bed. There is the added bonus of a drying room so you don't have wet things hanging around - much needed when walking in the Lakes! Handy location in the centre of the village and parking just outside. Would definitely visit again!
