We turned up unannounced to be greeted by Christophe, yes I do speak English! & yes they can take us! The room was gorgeous, the whole house & garden absolutely charming. Brigitte was the perfect host & sent us off on all the right directions for dining & seeing Monet's garden. We'd love to come back here & will recommend Agapanthas to all our friends.

We had a lovely stay looked after by Brigitte, we were reccomended fabulous restaurants and had the perfect instructions for Monet gardens. The breakfast was perfect with tasty cheese and jams. We stayed in the white room which was a double and the twin room near by, both had there own bathrooms. We would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the town. There is a free carpark near the b&b.

My husband and I stayed one night at Brigitte's B&B in September 2013 on our way back to Paris from Bayeux. It is a perfect place to stay to visit Giverny and to get a real sense of a small, quaint French town. There was a slight mix-up with regard to our reservation date, but Brigitte welcomed us in. Our room was cozy, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated in a warm French country style. Our stay was short but sweet, and Brigitte was a wonderful host!

This was the most pleasant stay at a Bed and Breakfast that we have ever experienced. Brigitte and Christophe welcomed us upon arrival to their beautifully restored historic home by immediately serving us a cold drink in their lovely garden. A rainbow of roses and other beautiful flowers afforded us a graceful vision of beauty that eased our travel-weary souls, perfumed by the fragrance of fresh lavender growing there.

Brigitte had also made a reservation for us at our request at a local restaurant one block away for that evening. The staff there served us that first evening with a world-class four course dinner at a reasonable price with excellent service. When we returned to the B&B, the room was ready, pleasant and well decorated, and the beds were most comfortable and enabled us to rest very well.

Brigitte had also purchased for us at our request admission tickets for Claude Monet's home, lily ponds and gardens in Giverny, a short drive away from the B&B. Walking in Monet's gardens, studying his beautiful paintings in his home, and best of all, strolling by the water's edge gazing on the lilies in the quiet pools was so easy and enjoyable, because of the location of B&B les Agapanthes in Gasny.

Each morning we were greeted in the garden by our smiling hosts serving hearty coffee or flavorful teas, with a memorably delicious breakfast of fresh croissants, baguettes, and whole-grain breads, home-made jams and various preserves of apple, plum, orange, or quince. After breakfast, Brigitte also printed maps for us for our trip into Paris, and gave us written advice on the best Seine River cruise and restaurants near St Germain de Pres in Paris, the restaurant district she most highly recommended. The meal we enjoyed in Paris more than vindicated her recommendation.

In sum, if you want an optimally pleasurable stay at a top-flight B&B in a strategic location easily accessible to Monet's home and gardens, and to Paris by car or train, make your reservations early at B&B les Agapanthes. Merci bien, Brigitte et Christophe!

Room Tip: Choose the White Room for a bit fancier, more romantic stay. Choose the English Room for a very plea...

From the moment she welcomes you at the front-door Brigitte is really engaging with a great sense of humour. Her 'straight man' Christopher has a great dry wit! The house and garden have been superbly renovated and they have turned it into a most welcoming home, beautifully decorated and with a relaxing garden. With the fruits from the garden, Brigitte produces the most delicious jams for the breakfast table (the fig is scrumptious!)
We stayed in the White Room which was very spacious and had some delightfully quirky touches.
Brigitte has great recommendations for things to see (other than Monet's Garden) and where to eat. Gasny is very convenient for visiting Monet's gardens, it doesn't have the hordes of tourists that you will find in Giverny. Enjoy!

Room Tip: While each room has its own bathroom, it is not en-suite. However with only 2 guestrooms, this was n...

Two mothers and two daughters touring France! Our night with Brigitte and Chris was definitely a highlight. Our rooms were beautiful, the breakfast was amazing! Fresh squeezed OJ, homemade jams, and the most wonderful breads and croissants! Brigitte was able to help us with travel plans and had some ideas for our trip into Paris. She had tickets for Monet's garden ready for us, and that saved a lot of time not waiting on line. We wish we could have stayed longer, this B&B is LOVELY!

We spent two nights in this most delightful B&B, where our charming hosts, Brigitte and Christopher made us feel like family friends sharing their lovely home. Welcomed at the end of our journey with champagne in their beautiful garden, we enjoyed everything about their beautifully restored old house - the charming decor, lovely bedroom, and delicious breakfasts with home-made preserves. Brigitte's information made our visit to nearby Giverny very easy and the first class cuisine at the nearby auberge was an added bonus. Just perfect!
