“Well,this hotel sucks”

It ia a terrible experience , I wish I never come to this place. You can see some trash on the floor, the bathroom was so disgusting ,and the service was terrible .How outrageous charging 145 dollars per day for using the wifi! What a filthy business! If the staff had been more courteous the entire experience would have been more berable but even that was lacking. You better book a cleaner hotel rather than this.

I stayed here for two nights while on a business trip visiting Bond University. They seem to market themselves as a good place for business trips, yet the internet was $18AUD a day...and even if you did choose to pay that ridiculous price, there was no facility for wifi at all. You had to bring a laptop and connect it to the wall via a network cable. So bizarre. If you are staying here, the Jets gym across from the main entrance has free wifi 24/7, but you do look a little strange hanging out in the carpark! The cleanliness of the apartment was fairly good. Receptionist english is not the best and hard to understand at times.

The other thing that I found very bizarre was that check in closed at 5pm...if you arrived after this time, you had to talk to a speaker box which would open the door for you and then direct you to a lock box which you had to open to get your key.

The room was much larger than I needed and I didn't use the kitchen at all, although it was fairly well equipped.

The front desk was very inefficient, and unprofessional. I went to check out at 8:30am (Reception opening time), the receptionist arrived at 8:50. When I was ready to finalise the check out, a couple just came in, and the receptionist just ignored me and started to deal with the couple so I had to wait for another 10 mins.

The bathroom wasn't very clean and during night time the apartment was quite noisy, I hardly got any sleep. I don't recommend this establishment.

The whole experience was just awful. The bathroom was not properly cleaned and the microwave was dirty. When I made my complain to the receptionist, she just simply shifted the responsibility to the housekeeping. I will never come back to here again.

Better get yourself a bottle of Bleach and clean the bathroom. The sanitary grade is very insufficient. Mouldy tiles, soap scum on the bathtub and the sink isn't much better either. A toolbox is required to fix the towel rail who fell off first sign of a yowl, flushing cistern buttons broken, the couch only to be used if you use a towel under your bum as it has got more marks from whatever than the moon has shades. On check in ,insufficient English language and been turned away for three hours as they have a strict 2 pm check in policy... My advise; you better off staying away. I don't come here no more. Sure thing .

They failed to register the booking in their system and since they have no reception desk we couldn't get off the street! We spent an hour trying to resolve the problem with a person on the other end of the phone and then gave up and stayed at the Mercure (fantastic hotel).

Oh, The Chancellor were more than happy to charge my credit card for the room even though they stuffed up the booking - we have spent weeks trying to get a refund but they still refuse to pay up.

I will be very fair and honest and say the staff I dealt with were very professional and polite, and the location is good as far as walks, shops, restaurants and cafes but this property is poorly designed and I wish I'd never booked there.

The bathroom is one of the worst designs I've ever seen with only a half fixed screen in the shower so water sprays everywhere and floods the place and the only towel rail in site is IN THE SHOWER recess?

The blinds on the lounge room windows offer very little privacy when closed as they are see through. The property is noisy you can hear every thing happening the hall outside and other peoples TV's. I was fortunate enough to be given a room above the carpark entrance so all night long I got to listen to the rattle of the carpark roller door going up and down up and down, despite having booked weeks in advance.

Then the fire sprinkler booster pumps kicked in at 2am. And were still running when I left at 8am. Not the managers fault but when services like that are in the middle of all the buildings and roar all night NO ONE in the vicinity is going to get any sleep. Other guests I spoke to the next day had no sleep as well due to this issue.

The 'starter pack' consisted of detergent and shampoo and that's it. Not even a complimentary coffee or sugar. I bring my own anyway and there is an IGA and nightowl close by but for an 'executive accommodation' this is not acceptable.

Limited reception hours also means assistance is not available if you need it (my door lock hardly worked there were issues with the swipe card). Not that I would have asked as there were warning signs saying a $100 fine if cards are damaged or lost. Seriously?

This was a disappointing effort during a long and stressful business trip. I don't normally like taking to Tripadvisor with negativity but this place simply is not worth it go elsewhere.

Room Tip: go to a different hotel.
