Came in Here on a Wednesday night as it looked busy as we passed on the main Bury New road and we were looking for a good curry.

This place has been renovated over the last couple of years and it is very big inside just as it looks from the outside with plenty of free parking.

First impressions were that it is modern and spacious, not looking like an Asian restaurant themed place, there was no music either, there were about 7 tables with people who seemed to be enjoying conversation and eating next to the main window overlooking the road Junction.

We got the impression that it was a quiet Family run restaurant, everywhere was clean, well laid out and tidy, we were taken to a choice of tables by a young English girl who made us feel very welcome, the waiter took our wine order and recommended the house wine but we we chose a bottle of Pinot Grigio instead. A young Asian Lady came to explain they had ran out of that as they were upgrading the suppliers so we chose a Spanish Rioja instead which they dropped the price on as a Gesture.

I got the impression that there is not a regular set and timely routine when placing orders as though the staff were new to Restaurant service but they were very friendly and chatted to us to make us feel welcome and we were in no rush anyway.

As people have mentioned the food does look very much the same in appearance and colour for some reason but it did taste great. I ordered Chicken Hindi and my friend had Lamb Nihari, we also had the usual, popodoms, condiments and Peshwari and plain nan Breads, no rice just the bottle of Rioja. The bill was £34.00 which we though was normal, they do have special offers on early evenings and beginning of the week discounts.

I think if they did some staff training so they made more focus on a timely service and made distinct differences between the different foods appearance on offer, some Indian background Music and decor too then this place would be really great.

The one one seven is close to quite a number of other good restaurants so our feeling is that they must be doing most things right as there would not be so many people dining if it were not good.

We will return again as I like to see small friendly family business's find success.

Give them a try see what you think, we enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. Good service, pleasant room, food arrived piping hot and was very tasty. Poppadums, chutneys and naan bread all good - often its one of these that lets a place down. Prices very reasonable. Will go again.

This Indian is close to home, and very easy to get to.

The restaurant was revamped a couple of years ago which changed the floor plan - the owners took the oppotunity to change the name as well.

Good food, very friendly staff, helpful.

I call it "Indian" as an easy label, but they serve some related dishes from other coiuntries as well.

They also supply takeaway - but we have never tried that since it as easy for us to visit.

Well worth a visit.

It's a nice restaurant inside and deceptively large. We had to wait for a table and the one we had was right by the front door so in a high traffic area; that was a little annoying. We also waited a long time for service and for the food to arrive. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a stress. The food was very tasty and great quality. Also it was very good value for money. A good middle of the road type place to start a night out maybe or Somewhere to go if you just don't fancy cooking in the week. . .

A really good curry. We have been three times - two early visits when the place was just getting busy and one time at peak dining, no difference in the speed or quality of service and the food was exceptional. Waited on by several staff during the course of the meal, all very attentive and friendly. Had a chance to look at the menu online before we went, there is plenty of choice and the portions are of a good size, freshly cooked (never had anything that appears to have been reheated and the rice is always light and fluffy, not dried out and crunchy). We're planning another visit already
