We stayed at Bruna's apartments for 3 nights earlier this month and found them a restful and lovely place to stay. Bruna was a delightful host, running the apartments with help from her parents. Bruna's father collected us from the ferry port 3 km away in Ubli and showed us our apartment. His English wasn't great (but much better than our Croatian) so we called him Daddy Bruno as we were never sure of his name and he introduced himself as Father Bruna! The studio apartment was a good size - a large room with a dividing wall to separate the bed area from the area with the sofa, chair and tables, TV and kitchenette. The separate bathroom was more than adequate with a bidet which we don't often see in Croatia and 2 towels per person. The kitchen included washing-up liquid and tea towels as well. The apartment had a good-sized balcony with chairs, table, umbrella and rack and pegs for haging out washing from which we could see most of Pasadur - a lovely little village mainly built over a bridge onto an island. We also had a huge wardrobe to use which we couldn't fill at all. Wi-fi was on offer for free which was also useful.
We hadn't realised until we got there that bookings via Booking.com included breakfast which we took upstairs on the balcony outside the family apartment. The breakfast was excellent - different every day which made it quite exciting! One day inlcuded salami, another had lovely omelettes. Each day we had a range of tea, yogurt and soft cheeses and beautiful fresh bread. Coffee was instant but fine. We also had fantastic home-made jam each day and on our final morning Bruna presented us with 2 small jars of Fig and Orange jam - which were small enough to take home in hand luggage on the plane.
We were also offered the chance to have a meal one evening - we chose the fish option and had a fish pate started, spaghetti with tuna then 2 huge fish with a fresh salad. For dessert we had Bosnian baclava brought over from Sarajevo by some friends of the family who were staying. We couldn't finish everything - there was a litre of wine as well - but the cost was very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The fish had been caught that day by a neighbour.
Bruna had also purchased 2 bikes that arrived on the day we did. They needed to be put together and checked over but we were offered them for use (free) and decided to use them on one day. We asked for a lock so we could leave them to go swimming etc and were told that there was no need for a lock as everyone would know that they were Bruna's bikes and just to leave them where we wanted! Amazing!! And when we left them for an hour or so in full view they were in exactly the same place when we went back.
To summarise, having looked round much of Lastovo I'd recommend both Pasadur as a place to stay (accessible to the ferry and it does have buses) and Apartment Bruna. On our final morning with an 11 am ferry to catch Bruna took us to the one place we hadn't managed to walk/bike to (Skrivena Luka) then straight to the ferry which we caught with minutes (well, at least one minute!) to spare. Lovely clean apartments and a family that couldn't do enough to help - highly recommended.
