Kate's Farm Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 4 Musbury B&B and Inns

Kate's Farm B & B was wonderful for my husband, our dog Poppy and me to recharge. We all felt that it was a 'home from home'. Kate's breakfasts are superb. We have a lot of experience of B & B's and Kates locally sourced ingredients and her cooking skills make her breakfasts exceptionally delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Kate even offered us the use of her hammer for fossil hunting on Charmouth beach. Poppy stayed with us in the Garden Room and we all thoroughly relaxed. Beautiful views whilst sipping wine in the garden. A rural retreat you will want to return to in the future.

We stayed at Kate's Farm as we have a dog and wanted to stay somewhere dog friendly. Kate gave us possibly the best welcome we've ever had from a B&B - a cup of tea and biscuits in the garden! It was lovely to be out in the middle of nowhere but to still be within easy reach of some beautiful towns and villages.

We have a dog, we love dogs. However, dogs that run in and out of the farmyard and then sit on the sofas that are there for the guests' use - that is not acceptable. They also set up a cacophony of barking at the drop of a hat.
These are the only reasons we don't rate Kate's Farm more highly.
Kate bends over backwards to accommodate your needs, the beds are comfortable and it really is a haven of peace. It can be a little hard to find and the road leading to it is really narrow.

Room Tip: The garden room is lovely.

Mr Bob is very sorry for causing offence. He thought that as his paws were clean and dry no one would mind him sitting on the leather sofa. He does not enjoy a dirty farmyard anymore as there is no stock here .
As his owner runs this on her own it is his job to let her know when someone arrives and he has quite a deep voice but most of the time he behaves himself and this guest did say how peaceful it was here.

We were looking for a place that was a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We needed a perfect break and Kates Farm gave us that with all the warmth of Devonshire. Beautiful location not far from Seaton and Axmouth, Kates Farm gave us an ideal base to get out and about, and then relax in her lovely garden with a nice bottle of wine.
This is the perfect place if you have a dog, as Kates three give you a big welcome too. Our room was ideal, with a good powerful shower and separate toilet. Our room led straight into the garden and Snoopy our Beagle, loved it.
Home reared fresh eggs and local produce made a wonderful hearty breakfast that set us up for the day.
Kate is lovely and made us very welcome. So much so my partner and i plus dog have booked a return break in October. Highly recommended. Thank you Kate and see you soon.

A lovely welcome to a beautiful, restful place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable with small touches which made the stay even better. The breakfast menu offered lots of choice-Kate even made me a bacon sandwich which was not on the list! Inglenook fireplace and scenic surrounds add to this being a place I would highly recommend; hope to return soon!

From the moment we arrived Kate made us feel very welcome, the kettle went on for a brew, and our dog Molly was introduced to Kate's three. We stayed 2 very comfortable nights in this very rural retreat, were well fed at breakfast, and even had a 'quiz' on one evening, involving guess the object!!! Thank you very much Kate for your warm hospitality - we very much enjoyed our stay with you.

Kate was an excellent hostess at this beautiful B&B not far from River Cottage Headquaters at nearby Park Farm. The room we stayed in was very well equiped and tidy and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely and the service was great!
