“Attention to detail!”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

First rate accommodation is hard to find and presumably will be even harder for us in future if we make an unqualified recommendation. We'll take the risk! All the comments which led us to book in the first place turned out to be entirely accurate and we were made to feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. I am sure Keith and Bridget would have fulfilled any request but they didn't have to - they seem to have thought of everything. We have been on many cruises and stayed in top level hotels but nowhere have we seen the sort of attention to detail that makes for a truly relaxing holiday. We had free run of the grounds and enjoyed sitting by the lake with a glass of wine. They even laid on a fly past by the Red Arrows - and at no extra charge. Nice touch! One tip - if you see the delicious eggs for sale, order them while you can; they may not be there at the time you leave. Will we go there again? Most certainly, as long as we can beat you to it!

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights to explore the area and we picked the best place! We were greeted by Bridget, Keith, Merryck the dog and Sila the cat and they couldn't have been friendlier.
Room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was all home grown and really tasty and Bridget & Keith were fab hosts. Can't wait to go back!

Thank you so much Bridget and Keith for making us so welcome and for your fantastic hospitality. Our overnight stay was primarily for our family trip to River Cottage but we loved Spillers Farm so much that it both equalled and rounded off a great experience. We haven't stopped talking about Spillers Farm to friends and family. The rooms are very high standard and absolutely spotless. The breakfast - absolutely everything homemade- was amazing. To be accompanied by the family dog on our walk round the farm and accepted by the family cat was brilliant. Keith and Bridget are very friendly and we all felt very much at home. We will be back!

I booked here for my partners 40th birthday, we were travelling from Liverpool to Axminister, eating at the River cottage canteen that evening before taking the one day cookery course at River cottage HQ. We were made to feel so welcome and our superior room was lovely, very spacious, pristine ensuite shower room. Fresh milk in a mini fridge for the tea in the morning was a particularly nice touch. Breakfast was slow roasted bacon and sausage reared on the farm itself.

We stayed at Spillers Farm for 4 nights at the end of July 2014. First impressions was that it was situated on a road that was busier than expected. This however was quickly put to the back of our mind by the beautiful scenery and land (part of the property) to the rear. Not to mention the very friendly and approachable owners of the B&B Keith & Bridget who went out of their way to make sure everything was as nice as possible. The breakfast was excellent and a great way to start the day each morning. We stayed with our 8 year old daughter who loved the experience of collecting fresh eggs, seeing the pigs and running in the field with the sheep. All in all a really enjoyable stay and would recommend a stay there to anyone.

We have just returned from a brilliant couple of days for the River Cottage experience and booked to stay at Spiller's Farm. What a treat! Bridget and Keith are so delightful and made us feel so welcome. The room was comfortable, relaxing and clean and Keith's breakfasts are delicious. This has to be the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Many thanks to Bridget and Keith. We look forward to returning.

Thank you to Janet for this lovely review. We are delighted that you and Michael had such an enjoyable stay. As promised we are already drawing up plans for the boat jetty for which you were the inspiration! We hope you will return to Spillers in the not-too-distant future to see it completed!
