We visited here on Sunday, on a glorious Spring day, and were very taken by the whole place. The gardens are wonderfully planted and verdant and lush. Wonderful to photograph. Superb specimens of all kinds were available to buy - all at value for money prices. We enjoyed the artist studios, chatted to two artists there and sampled a fab lunch in the cafe. It was a simply beautiful day out.

If you are looking to buy plants this is the best place I have ever found. The choice is out of this world. I will definately go back. If you visit intend to make a purchase.

Called here for coffee and cake and a walk round the garden trail while on a circular walk from Middleton in Teesdale. Lovely cafe, cakes equally delicious! Sat in the sun on the terrace. Only sorry we couldn't buy plants as we had no transport but hope to return one day with the car as a fantastic range of superb quality plants to choose from. Enjoyed looking in the little churchyard too.

We have been to the gardens twice this Spring and on each occasion found some new treasures... great nursery garden with huge selection of things for sale...Very good selection of hardy ferns and hostas, lots of David Austin roses, conifers, herbaceous etc etc... Well worth a visit.
