We stayed for three nights as a long weekend away from HCMC, it took about four hours to drive there and upon arrival check in took about one minute and we were off to our room. The Princess suite was well appointed and spacious, the private plunge pool an easy and welcome respite from the heat of the day. The open air bathroom was huge, interesting and different but as it was outdoors tended to get a smattering of bugs and on one occasion bat! The bath was as large as a small car and after waiting 30 mins to fill it and seemingly only having filled to 3cm of water, we gave up and went for a swim. There are two main pools which were very different but equally good.
The restaurant and bar were pleasant, relaxing and we were well looked after. Service all around was good. Some minor negatives are the door to our bathroom were very heavy and difficult to open (possibly a track issue), with a large outdoor area the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and needed a bit more attention, the beach in front of the resort was clean and well maintained but walk 100m in either direction and there is rubbish everywhere and if you want to see the sights of Mui Ne/ Phan Thiet keep in mind it is about 30-40km away. We enjoyed the quiet isolation!

The Princess d'Annam is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay in a Princess villa. The main pool is a beautiful infinity pool with a great view of the beach. The restaurant was good and we liked the food.

Service was good, but a little different. At the restaurant they were overly helpful. However, at the pool once we parked on our chaise lounges we never saw anyone after that. I really like having someone come take orders for drinks or snacks. There was nothing available at the pool which was a shame. They could have made good money off of us on drinks!

Our plunge pool never worked during our stay. I was a little disappointed but it wasn't a huge deal. What was annoying was trying to get the staff to understand the problem. The pump was not working and I wasn't about to use a pool of stagnant water. When I tried to explain to numerous people the first day what the problem was, the response was always that it's not a jacuzzi and there aren't supposed to be jets and bubbles. I know that! But I also know that a pool is supposed to circulate the water and that hardware and filter in the pool are there for a reason. The second day the manager was back (he had apparently been offsite the first day) and he understood the problem and attempted to get it fixed. The third day they offerred to move us to a different suite but since we were leaving in the morning we didn't bother. They gave us a free bottle of wine at dinner as a result, but not being a wine drinker this didn't do much for me. Overall, it wasn't a big deal but the way it was handled was a little frustrating.

The grounds are beautiful and the landscaping is lovely. Some areas of the property are showing more wear than would be expected since it is only 3 years old. There was a leak in our ceiling directly over the couch in our room so we avoided using the couch because of the wet spot.

The villa was very nice and the outdoor bathroom was quite unusual and kind of cool. The bed was wonderful. The only thing I didn't like about the villa (other than the non-functional plunge pool and ceiling leak) was that there is no view. They are very private and as a result they do not look out at anything. I really like a view of the beach or at least gardens, but this just had the very small courtyard with the plunge pool surrounded by high privacy walls.

During our stay the place was nearly deserted. The first couple days I think there were only 8-10 guests at the resort. The last day it was more busy.

Overall a nice place, but it is very secluded. Had a fantastic massage at the spa.

This is a beautiful resort with the most magnificent stretch of white sandy beach, clear blue waters, exquisite cuisine and wonderful staff. I have travelled extensively and I can say this place truly knows how to please its customers. There was an element of surprise in almost everything: sweets left in your room after dinner; breakfast basket full of freshly baked crunchy pastries, etc...etc... Kids' room was also a delight. We will certainly go back. This is by far our favourite resort in Vietnam!

We were skeptical of all the previous reviews about the staff of this resort...but they were spot on. We were amazed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They never stopped smiling!
The resort itself was absolutely gorgeous, stunning gardens and pools. The Mandarin suite was gorgeous, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was perfectly designed. The beach was beautiful...clean, fine sand and the water was warm. There was quite a bit of rubbish in the water though.
The breakfast was brilliant, you order anything from the menu, and it is made fresh, not like most hotels that just have a buffet breakfast. Dinners are expensive for Vietnam standards, but are great value compared to Melbourne standards.
The only blip in our stay was on checkout, when we were accused of stealing the guest slippers, only to be then told they were free! We would have been offended If it wasn't so ridiculous, what were they going to do with used slippers? Wash and reuse? I hope not...
Enjoy your stay...we had a wonderful time.

Situated 150KM drive away from the bustling Ho Chi Minh City lies none other than the opulent Princess d'Annam resort. The resort is indeed well facilitated with a gym, four swimming pools, refreshing ginger garden, spas, free wifi access and etc. The resort is pretty much isolated and thus promises a tranquil, relaxing vacation from the throngs and hustles of the busy world we live in. Facing the beach, one will definitely not be disappointed with the breathtaking view of the pristine beach. The staffs there are well-trained, competent and extremely amiable. With an inexhaustible menu, one can definitely appease its hunger pangs from the extensive menu, which provides epicurean oriental and international feasts. Served by a well-versed and dedicated team, one will certainly be contented with the top-notch quality. In addition, one can pamper oneself with the spa services the resort provides. Masseuses are professional and mindful to one's needs. Lastly, rooms are spacious and very well-maintained. Room services are prompt and attentive. In general, my stay was indeed a stupendous and impressive one. This wouldn't be possible without the amazing staffs and the care they showered upon us. Thanks Princess d'Annam for making this possible!
