“Really interesting WW2 bunker”

This was a fantastic space to spend a couple of hours really learning about what life was like for a German soldier in WW2 stationed in Azeville. The entrance fee was reasonable and you get a audio guide as part of the price which takes you round the whole batterie explaining about each individual room and what it was used for. Even though it was August, it was not too busy and we had plenty of time to move around the attraction at our leisure, taking in everything at our own pace. Would highly recommend!

The battery has been well preserved and provides a fascinating impression of the German defences that stood in the way of the Allied forces landing on D-Day. The audio tour is well edited and allows opportunities to learn more about specific areas of life in the battery. Highly recommended.

One of four batteries available for touring. Probably the best reconstructed one. Excellent self guided tour.

Super place to take friends interested in the war, or kids that like exploring dark places! Super atmosphere and easy to get to the landing beaches.

Came across this when out on our bikes - really interesting and worth a visit. Visited in about 2004 when on previous visit to the area - close to St Mere Eglise - the remains of German gun placements which were used during the Allied landings in 1944.
