We were on a tour and stopped overnight here. Our cases were taken up to our rooms. The interior of the hotel is amazing with high and beautifully decorated ceilings. There is a magnificent staircase to the rooms. Our room was at the front - large with a balcony. On our arrival the noise from the traffic was loud as was the noise from the nightclub later. However, everything was quiet later in the evening. We were settling in the room when the housekeeper visited us to make sure everything was alright. She asked if we wanted any laundry doing and gave her 4 t-shirts which were returned clean and ironed 2 hours later. The bar area is pleasant. We only ate breakfast here which was adequate.

This town centre hotel in an attractive historic colonial building provided a comfortable and pleasant stay. Our room had been recently refurbished and was immaculate. The only problem was the water pressure - the water was hot, but not very plentiful! Breakfast was not elaborate, but was fresh, wholesome, and couteously served. The outstanding feature was the friendly, welcoming, and very helpful nature of the staff.
We enjoyed staying there.

Room tip: Rooms that don't front onto the main street are quieter - fairly obviously!!

Only one night at this hotel. There was some sort of festival down the street but this hotel is located on a busy road and our room overlooked this. It was very noisy and ear plugs were required.
We were originally told our rate included our evening meal so we went to the hotel restaurant and ordered. Then to be told that only breakfast was included, this may have been down to our tour guide and not the hotel but there was some confusion. Anyway, ordering prawn that had been defrosted in the microwave and drown in mayo was horrid. Then one meal (pork something) was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Needless to say we left, but were not asked to pay. Other tourists told us the pasta was cold. So advise would be select with care.

This historic hotel is in the centre of town, conveniently located for the main sights. Our room had a high ceiling, a balcony overlooking the road and, by Cuban standards, was well equipped. There is a bar/night club over the road which has loud music and the passing traffic is noisy, but fortunately the road traffic dies down at night and the bar turns down the volume later in the evening so even with the air conditioning on we had no problem sleeping. There is a good bar and breakfast in the morning was very good.

Room tip: Rooms away from the road are quieter but may not have windows

This hotel has some old-world charm, as well as your basic necessities. My room had good AC, a mini-fridge, and TV. The water pressure was a bit low and the water didn't get very hot, but this is to be expected in provincial Cuba.

The staff was very helpful at both the front desk and in the lounge, and there were also salsa lessons offered in the bar area the first night we were there.

For travelers with mobility issues, be aware that there is no elevator in this hotel, and all of the rooms are located on the second and third floors.

Room tip: It can be a bit noisy when people are in the hallways, so choose a room away from the main stairwell for a quieter experience.
