“Get there early”

We tried to eat here on a Sunday night for pizza night, but they were out of pizza by 6:30 pm, so we left. The pizza smelled and looked good, though!

“Good appetizers, salads, and breakfasts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014

While staying at Concordia, dropped in for happy hour, and several meals. Music during happy hour with guest participation was lively and fun. View is great. Warm cabbage salad with cashews was surprisingly good. Coconut bread was like a dessert. Enjoyed calm breakfasts looking down at Salt Pond beach.

“Perfect for Mondays!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

Highlight of a week on St John was open mike night at Concordia. They seem to do this every Monday and I suspect we were just lucky to hit a night when there was so much talent - but would will chance this again next time.
Arrive a little early than the 4:30 start or you either won't get seating or you will be toasting in the sun for a couple of hours. It's 'that' popular.
Staff were (gorgeous, pleasant and) excellent.
Appetizers to share with the group were good but not great (e.g. cocunut shrimp overcooked) and drinks a little weak but prices were very reasonable - folks Monday are the for the music not haute cuisine.
Several in the group did have a full meal and were very happy with what was served.

Mondays!

“Better than expected.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

You aren't going to find much in the way of 'fine dining' experiences on the Coral Bay side of St. John. It is pretty laid back and casual, even for the Caribbean. That being said, Café Concordia is worth a try. At first glance, it isn't too impressive, but it grows on you. We liked it enough to go back a second time. The staff was very friendly, the view (of Salt Pond Bay, Drunk Bay and Ram Head) is gorgeous, and the food, although there are perhaps only half a dozen entrees, is better than average. If you go early, parking and seating isn't a problem, and you should go early to catch the sun set, which goes behind the hill to the west a little after 6:00 (at least in February). The only thing we found less than favorable were the mixed/frozen drinks, which most of the bars do better, but if you eat early there is always time to make up for that later. If you are staying on the Coral Bay side you should try it, but if you are in Cruz Bay I would stay put, it is quite a drive from there.

“Wonderful PLACE!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

The food is always delicious, from dinner to the Chicken and Waffles. With the chicken smoked before fried... DAng it was GOOD! And I'm from Kentucky : ) I dont eat KFC but I do know fried chicken.. Enough about the Chicken and Waffles. They have Drunk Bay Brew! A Beer brewed on island right above the hill from Concordia. Gotta try this place while in paradise!
