“Fantastic pancakes in a delightful setting.”
Reviewed 9 June 2012

The pancakes and omlettes are simply to die for. All cooked fresh to order and cooked to perfection. Huge choice of fillings, great service and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Lovely garden centre and fishing lakes and otters to see as well.

“Not worth a special trip (unless you like fishing)”
Reviewed 3 June 2012

We visited Conwy Water Gardens because we were staying next door and thankfully not because we had made a special trip. Although the website makes a lot of what is there, the garden centre is very poor; it is small and in need of some development. The reptile section smelled quite bad too. The Water Gardens themselves were nice for a walk round and clearly popular with those who like fishing so this review might not be very helpful for people who want to go to fish and who might be more positive about the gardens. The arrival of some otters and capybaras gave something more to look at, but we would have been very disappointed if we'd have made a special trip there and not just gone for a look round because we were already on the doorstep. We didn't go in the Dutch pancake house either so cannot comment on that, although as we were staying right next door and it didn't manage to tempt us in, that perhaps says something in itself.

“Free and Fun”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

Conwy water gardens is a free and fun location for all the family. Set in the beautiful conwy valley, you can enter for free and view the various creatures. There are otters, capybaras, free range hens, various types of duck and reptiles and fish. Beware the reptile area if you are arachnaphobic though, as they also keep tarantulas in there - something that isn't mentioned on the signage (I got my husband to go in and check then avoided that room, which was a shame as I would have liked to see the reptiles). The dutch pancake house is cute and something a bit different. Very peaceful and some nice walks.
