“Fine Restaurant”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

We arrived on a Saturday at 18.30 and had not booked:fine, they could accommodate us.We were impressed both by the ambience and the excellent service offered. The food was generally excellent, although madam's chicken tikka was not that hot.and my onion bargees could have had more onion.Nevertheless, these are minor things and the evening was most enjoyable.Be warned, however that the portions are large! The menu is very wide ranging .Not surprisingly, the restaurant quickly became full, most customers being youngish. Deservedly popular

“Great Food”
Reviewed 6 February 2014

A small but intimate Indian restaurant in Chobham.

Make sure you book a table, otherwise expect to be disappointed, the restaurant itself is quite small and intimate, however the service is friendly and slick and the menu offers some interesting alternatives to the usual bog standard curry house.

All in all a very good restaurant, with knowledgeable friendly staff and very good food.

well worth trying

“Great Carry Out”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

Although a little out of our way in Chobham we find it is always worth the trip to the Amish to pick up our carry out (restaurant good as well). Last night we ordered Lamb Pasanda and Chicken Sukarno with the usual accompaniments. Quick and excellent quality.

Drive past the other and come here!

“Always a pleasant dining experience”
Reviewed 19 December 2013

We have been using the Amish since it opened and it has always been a superior Indian restaurant for us. The food is always full of flavour and presented in an appealing way. What we particularly like is that within a few minutes of sitting down our beer and popadoms are on the table. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes. We tried the chef's special once (that requires 24 hours notice) and when it arrived we were the envy of all the other guests.
We wholeheartedly recommend it for a family or couples night out. Just one caveat, there are some expensive choices on the menu so you can quickly rack up quite a bill, but if you want to o dine on a budget you can do so.

“Average food and over priced”
Reviewed 19 November 2013 via mobile

Myself and my girlfriend enjoy really hot curries and went here on a recommendation. Things didn't start well when staff were slow to take orders preferring instead to focus on takeaways customers. We ordered poppadoms and when spiced onions were presented they tasted bad like they had been prepared along time ago and refrigerated. We ordered hottest curries on menu hoping for a real burn but vindaloo was mild and hottest naga dish was spicy but no challenge. Feeling rather indifferent about the meal we were then presented with a 75 GBP bill which was unexpected, including a service charge of 10 percent. This meal was definitely not worth that amount and we only went out for a curry with no intent of picking up a bill like that. Overall not a great experience and would not go back. Much better curry houses elsewhere nearby in Woking and Camberley.
