“Soaking up the wedding rays”
Reviewed 24 March 2012

The Langton Arms offers a variety of food and drink opportunities but we had a snack outside on a sweltering March Saturday lunchtime. The food is excellent so the restaurant will surely be the same. The staff are unfailingly attentive and personable - it was a shame that it was the young lady from Nottingham's last day - she was a huge asset as a personality. The Langton Arms, from our experience is a Thomas Hardy experience.

“Superb Lunch Experiance”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

We had decided to have a short weekend break, and chose Tadlestones cottage in Tarrant Monkton for our retreat. Much to my pleasure it was next to The Langton Arms. On arriving my wife, son and I chose to have a quick lunch at The Langton, first impressions were very pleasing as the pub oozes quintessential english charm, we sat in the bar area and spent too long reading the menu as the choice was all too mouth wateringly difficult. On final decisions we chose the game burger, chicken and bacon salad and sausage & mash, all were served beautifully and exceeded all our expectations (although no-one else tasted the game burger I can assure you something that delicious is too good to share). We were certainly back the next day for light bites in the afternoon and again were bowled over by the service and quality of food. The Taddlestone cottage is also an amazing place to stay if anyone gets the chance, it is highly recommended. All in all a most wonderful experience... thank you to all at the Langton Arms Pub, it was teriffic.

“Fantastic Valentines Day Meal”
Reviewed 27 February 2012

We decided to have supper at the Langton Arms to celebrate a special evening. We were not dissapointed. My husband and I opted for the Valentines Menu and were quite excited with the choices. We would highly recommend the Sea Bass, it was exceptional! Service was very attentive but not over bearing so we had plenty of privacy for a romantic meal. After our supper we retired to the pub lounge for a game of cards and a night cap. The meal was not overly priced and very good value for money, considering the freshness and quality of the food.
Thank-you for making our evening even more special!

“Avoid this place unless you want a bad stomach the following morning!”
Reviewed 12 December 2011

I went here with my family and we all ended up having a bad stomach the next day !!!

Emailed to ask for explanations to why this could have happened but the response was to deal with the EHO ... This isn't what you call good customer service ...

Very disappointed to have received this review having feed over 250 people on this date. No other correspondence has been received from any other diners. Contacted our EHO who had also received no complaints of any nature, so no evidence that stomach problems were caused as a result of eating in our restaurant.

“Excellent Food & Atmosphere”
Reviewed 8 December 2011

I had an evening meal here a few days ago. The food was excellent - thoroughly recommend the thai green chicken curry! The presentation was beautiful and the curry itself was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming and I found the staff to be very helpful and polite. I'll definitely be going again and have no hesitation in recommending the place.
