We spent 8 days at the Hayloft. We found the accommodation great- clean, spacious and well equipped. We loved the facilities, we used the indoor pool, sauna and hottub every day. Our son took a great shine to Katie the dog and especially enjoyed the lovely walk with her and Penny (the owner) on the last day.

We were a family group of 26 and had a wonderful time for a week. the accommodation is excellent, clean, well equipped. Lovely indoor pool and hot tub. Lots of space for the children to play. Very well run. Penny, the owner, quietly available for any help required.

Stayed in The Granary. Penny is fab - loads of advice, very friendly as too is Katie the dog.
Accommodation is very good, well equipped, clean and spacious.
3 fishing lakes you can use during your stay which were a great attraction for our 9 year old son.
Very peaceful location - literally in the middle of nowhere, but ideal for enjoying the birds and appreciating the countryside around you.
A big plus for us was the indoor pool which we used everyday.
Penny & her husband definitely have the most photogenic calves we have ever seen, stunning sunsets and beautiful flora and fauna. Heaven for a photographer, what ever level of skill.
A great base for exploring the Dorset coast but it is an hours drive. A very pretty drive it has to be said. Ideal location for days exploring Weymouth, then Lyme Regis (kids loved the fossilling), Poole, New Forest, Brownsea Island

The views are beautiful and you were lucky to find such a clear day. From the top of Bulbarrow Hill, where you shot the pictures, on a clear day you can sometimes see 6 counties. The bluebells are just going over now but they have been a picture.
The goslings in the photograph are growing like mad now and it is a job to see the difference between the parents and the young. We have lots more calves born since you stayed and the weather has been great for their arrival. Another calf due tonight so at 2am Derek will be down the farm buildings with torch to assist. Hopefully the mother will manage on her own.
In Park lake the fish have been spawning and Oak lake (the specimen lake) is just about to start. Lots more fish to come.

We are a family of 8 Adults and stayed in Helena House for 3 nights. The accommodation was very clean and fresh. All rooms are en-suite, although one of the bedrooms is an ‘inner’ room with only a roof window, but still acceptable as a 4th bedroom. It has a very spacious lounge and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We would have liked the swimming pool to be open later so that we could have used it after a day out, but when we asked, they did leave it open until 6 o’clock so that we could have a swim. The hot tub was lovely. There are 3 small lakes where one of our party enjoyed the fishing. This site is very remote, but that is part of its appeal, if you want to be away from the crowds. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We stayed for a long weekend with family and friends. We hired 3 of the cottages for our large group and all of them are of a high standard. Personally stayed in Jasmine and it's spacious with the advantage of having all bedrooms en suite. The location is quite remote but having a swimming pool and playground on site kept the children in the group happy.

We are a family of five, three of whom are under 7 and we had a great time at the Victorian Barn. Accommodation is of a good standard and well maintained, the location is rural but it is easy to access main roads and lots of the sites that East Dorset has to offer. The children's play area and swimming pool made this Easter holiday for us as it gave us extra activities we could do if the weather was poor. The owners were also vewry helpful with any queries we had too.
Really a very enjoyable holiday, relaxing and I would thoroughly recommend the Victorian Barn as a place to stay.
