“lovely countryside accommodation”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

I stayed here at Nant y Croi.for one night on July 18th with my teenage grand daughter. The countryside is beautiful, coast and country views. We did the walk to Mwnt, no Dolphins though, came back and watched the cows come into the yard which was great. A charolet cow in the back field, she is lovely. Donkeys and horses just up the road, donkeys were great for photography.

We were made to feel very welcome, chatted away for some time, and as the cottage adjoining was empty so we had that overnight, and then into the farm property for an enormouse and lovely breakfast, healthy starters, followed by a cooked one. It was really enjoyable, and recommend it to anyone, and also good to encourage children away from technology for a while, but free wifi is available.

We spent a couple of days camping at Nant Y Croi before doing a road trip to Snowdonia and this was the nicest campsite we stayed at. If you want a clubhouse and a pool and entertainment laid on then it's not for you. This is a peaceful place with the most tremendous views over the sea, I think you'd probably get the view no matter where you pitch - complete with dolphins and seals (take binoculars!). There is a beach nearby, about half an hour's easy stroll down the coastal path - make sure you ask Gordon for directions! Farmer Gordon is lovely, very friendly and helpful and keen to make sure everything is OK. It's a very laid back place, no regimented pitches or lists of rules. The toilets and showers are fairly basic but very clean and spacious, There are fridges and freezers available too which is very handy. There were about half a dozen other campers there and everyone was very relaxed and friendly and several repeat visitors - as we will be. Can't recommend it highly enough!

We booked a room in this B&B while walking the Ceregion Coast Path. The farmhouse is on the path. It was one of the best we have stayed in: very welcoming owners, who as we were walking took the trouble to drive us to and from a restaurant 3 miles away for dinner. The room was large with a separate bathroom and antechamber, and had a separate entrance from the outside - we were invited to 'come and go as you please'. There were all facilities and small extras, and the breakfast was great with a large choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, and a big fried breakfast if you wanted it (I did!). We will be back if we are ever in the area again.

Had a fabulous week camping at Nant y Croi in early July. If you are looking for a peaceful campsite with the essentials but no extras and are hoping for a view this is a great place to stay. The farmhouse and campsite are at the end of a lane which turns into a campsite heading our of Cardigan and Ferwig. The main field has a fabulous sea view right over to Bardsey Island on a clear day and grandstand seating for some great sunsets. Dolphins are regularly seen from the rocks below the site.
The facilities are simple but well thought out. The showers, toilets and washing up facilities were very clean and effective with plenty of hot water - they are made from old freight containers painted green and blend into the background. There are also several fridges and freezers for the use of campers which is helpful. The site is a fair way outside Cardigan but you can get milk, bacon and BBQ packs from the farmhouse.
From the site there is a lovely 20-30 minute walk along the coast to the beach at Mwnt. From Mwnt a little bus runs up the coast between Cardigan and Newquay which is a good way to explore all the little beaches or to walk the lovely coastal path.
There are no additional facilities and that is just the way we like it - with a bbq and a glass of wine what more do you want when the sun goes down?

Most beautiful location, so peaceful, lovely clean cottage with everything you need, big farmhouse kitchen, stunning views from every window. Mary and Gordon lovely, kind and helpful hosts.
We were blessed to see the dolphins several times and a seal and a new born foal during our stay. Totally idyllic and just what we needed.
Perfect if you want to stay put or ideal for exploring this part of Wales, beautiful coastal walks, gorgeous estuary nearby with lots of nice eating places with amazing views. Wonderful time.

We had a great time here although sadly were only able to stay for one night. Mary is utterly charming and the breakfast is amazing.

It is also only a short (approx. 1.5 mile) really lovely walk to a cove beach which was not busy at all when we went in spite of it being glorious weather and a saturday.
