We had booked all of our accommodation for our UK trip eight months prior from Australia where we live.
We booked B&Bs all the way around the UK and this one was for 60 pounds for the night. When we arrived we were told that breakfast would be an EXTRA 7 pounds 50p EACH.
Not a good start at all, seeing as we were given full cooked English breakfasts at other B&Bs for the same tariff – and the rooms and en suites were superior to what the Trewern Arms provided as well.
Small bed, small shower, bad night’s sleep.
No, sorry, compared to the excellent accommodation we had enjoyed at the previous B&Bs, the Trewern Arms represents poor value.
It’s quaint and attractive enough, the staff were all friendly and helpful, but 60 pounds a night should include the breakfast that is implied under this classification.
