We stayed at la Glorietta on 14th &15th of October. Dominique and Natalie are a very pleasant and helpful couple who have a lovely home in a good location. We were near to the historic beaches which were well worth a visit also Bayeux was a lovely town. We used a bedroom on the second floor which was a good size and had en suite. The only concern i would have is the stairs are very narrow and steep. Breakfast was good for us with nice fresh bread, quassants, ham, cheese, coffee, tea and orange juice. We would certainly stay there again in the future if travelling that area again.

Room Tip: not upper floor

We would highly recommend staying at La Gloriette. Hosts Dominique and Natalie were most welcoming and went out of their way to help us out. We were able to enjoy a vitamin enriched breakfast and Dominique gave us valuable information about Bayeux, which is only minutes away. The room is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

From all the great reviews on here I really wanted to write an amazing review myself. Sadly,I'm not sure I can! The place itself is lovely and in a pretty quiet village and well located being in close proximity to the WW2 beaches and Bayeux. I was immediately disappointed that there was no hair dryer in the room but this I can get by without, soap on the other hand, I cannot! Perhaps B&B's in the UK are different I don't know but I can't say I was too impressed at having to go out straight away to buy some soap. The room was also literally right above the kids room so we could hear everything through the very thin floors including arguments and chastising, not very professional! Again, perhaps the UK is different but I've always felt totally separate from the family/people whose house it is and you would never hear such a thing. Breakfast was very simple (croissants/bread and yoghurt) but as a Brit I like cereal and again had to buy my own and eat it out of their tea cup as they had no bowls. They also do not except card and if you have very little grasp of the french language you may struggle. Obviously this is all our personal opinion but I probably wouldn't recommend staying here.

Although we have stayed in this part of France many times before, we only discovered La Gloriette a few weeks ago as a result of reading the previous Tripadvisor review, and would now always choose to stay here when visiting the area. It is incredibly good value for money and our (blue) room was much nicer than many rooms in expensive hotels we have stayed in locally. The rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the character of the building, yet with modern ensuite bathrooms. We had delicious breakfasts with croissants and jam. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was very helpful in recommending good local restaurants in the area (such as La Fringale in the main street in Bayeux).

We spent two nights in this lovely b&b. The hosts, Francois and Nathalie were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The b&b is located about 5km from Arromanches-sur-Mer and not far from Utah and Omaha beaches. We were served fresh bread and croissants with home- made jam for brekfast, plenty of coffee and juice....and, best of all, no TV in the room! what a great way to get away for a few days!
